2022: Criminal case against the head of the Swiss branch and his accomplices for kickbacks

Pierine Vincentz, former head of the Swiss branch of the Raiffeisen banking group, became famous throughout the world. The prosecutor's office demanded from him and another 6 accused $77 million and terms from 2 to 6 years. He oversaw the purchase of two banks Notenstein and La Roche, and also built a digital network of the bank. Before transactions with banks and digital companies, Vincentz and his colleagues bought up the shares of the companies on themselves and bribed their management. The shares were eventually sold at the profit of Raiffeisen.

Vincenza's ex-wife worked as the general counsel of the Austrian bank and handed over confidential documents to him. She also went to trial.

But the banker was not particularly interested in his wife. Extravagant spending of a 65-year-old banker grandfather for half a million dollars surfaced in court, and the prosecutor called his work a 20-year tour of the streets of the Red Lights:

  • the former "banker of the year" spent $217,000 in strip clubs, but he said they were related to the business.

  • he met a girl in Tinder paid for dinner for 700 francs and brought her to Australia, allegedly showing Raiffeisen ATMs.

  • spent 4,000 francs on the repair of a hotel room in Zurich Park Hyatt, which was broken up after a quarrel between Vincenza and his stripper friend.

  • he also flew on a private plane at the expense of Raiffeisen for 27,000 francs to a culinary club in Mallorca.

The management of the banking group Johannes Ruegg-Stürm was forced to resign from this scandal, and his successor Patrick Gisel lost his job with the banker.
