We are glad to see among the investors many founders of our portfolio companies and investment cooperatives from all over the world who supported us from the very first day... We began investing in knowledge-intensive technologies even before they gained popularity in the venture capital market, starting with Nginx in 2011, Wallarm and ID Quantique in 2013 and MariaDB in 2014, Chikhachev commented.

Runa Capital typically invests between $1 million and $10 million in companies in the early stages, predominantly in Series A rounds.

The Foundation has a special interest in cloud infrastructure, open source software, artificial intelligence and machine learning, B2B products with the SaaS model, and technology companies that seek to revolutionize traditional regulated markets such as finance, education, and healthcare.

With the third fund, Runa Capital plans to further focus on knowledge-intensive technologies and startups whose activities are related to quantum mechanics.

Representatives of Runa Capital also said that they were joined as a venture partner by Jinal Javeri, the former CEO and founder of SchoolMint - a firm that was formerly part of Runa's portfolio and was subsequently acquired by Hero K12.[1]
