=Joining of the developer of medical software Athenahealth for $5.7 billion

On November 12, 2018 the developer of medical software Athenahealth officially announced that it is bought by private investment company Veritas Capital and a hedge fund of Elliott Management. As a result of the transaction the sold company will join Virence Health. Read more here.

Veritas Capital renamed IT department of GE Healthcare into Virence Health Technologies

On October 9, 2018 the Veritas Capital investment company announced renaming of the division of Value-Based Care Solutions Group purchased from GE Healthcare. It received the name Virence Health Technologies. 

In the press release it is noted that the new company is the leading software provider which, using technologies and analytics, helps medical institutions to manage effectively the financial and clinical processes and also personnel resources.

The division of GE Healthcare sold for $1 billion was renamed into Virence Health Technologies

By October, 2018 the product portfolio consists of the following tools:

  • Revenue Cycle Management Solutions. They optimizes income generation cycles, improve communication between medical institutions and sources of income generation and also help to develop business at various models of preferential provision of services.

  • Ambulatory Care Management Solutions. These complete solutions optimize primary and specialized workflows, including EMR, clinical documentation, the reporting, analytics and management of the number of patients.

  • Workforce Management Solutions. Here programs, analytical tools and consulting services allowing health care systems to manage labor costs and to optimize the labor power belong, providing quality services to patients.[1]

GE Healthcare sold IT-Business of $1.05 billion Veritas Capital company

At the beginning of April, 2018 GE Healthcare announced sale of the IT-Business of Veritas Capital company. This transaction one of the world's largest producers of medical equipment enhances the focus on the equipment for "smart" diagnostics of patients and network devices. Read more here.
