History

2023: Plan to procure more than 300 drone operators

In 2023, it is planned to train more than 300 people at the Center for Training Operators of Information Systems on the basis of the Yakutsk College of Communications and power, including in the field of vocational training and additional vocational education. The center was opened at the end of December 2022, and already 27 people have completed courses on the control of unmanned aerial vehicles, and 20 students are undergoing training. The Press Center of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) announced this on January 26, 2023.

Two study rooms are open for the Center in the college: theoretical training and technical operation.

As the head of Yakutia Aysen Nikolaev noted earlier, in the conditions of active restructuring of the economy of the republic and the country, specialists in information technologies are in demand, and Yakutia, which prioritizes the development of IT, will prepare worthy professionals for many industries.

Drone specialists are in demand in areas such as oil and gas production, construction, ecology, logistics, agriculture and forestry.

According to Ayaal Doktorov, Deputy Director for Development and Innovation of the College, there is a great demand and interest in training UAV operators among the population of the republic, enterprises, including from other regions.

In the future, the implementation of the educational program is provided within the framework of the specialty "Operation of unmanned aircraft systems" on the basis of class 9 with a training period of 3 years 10 months.

As of January 2023, work is underway to create in the center a structural unit for the development of UAV software, organize the production of suspended and attached equipment for UAVs, as well as develop new systems and modernize existing UAVs based on the Yakutia Technopark.

2011

February 16, 2011 By order of the President of the RS (I) E.A. Borisov No. 65-RP of 16.02.11, the Yakutsk College of Telecommunications, Communications and Information Technologies SEI was reorganized into the Autonomous Institution "Yakutsk College of Communications and power named after Peter Ivanovich Dudkin."

2007

Since 2007, the Radio Engineering College has been renamed the Yakutsk College of Telecommunications, Communications and Information Technology.

2000

In 2000, by the Decree of the President of the RS (I), the technical school was reorganized into the Yakutsk Radio Engineering College of the Physics and Technology Institute of YAGU named after M.A. Ammosov.

1926

In 1926, the first school of postal and telegraph specialists was opened in Yakutsk. Later, the Yakutsk Communications Department was created on its basis, which was subsequently renamed the Training Communications Plant. Given the constantly growing need of the republic for qualified personnel, in 1939, by the decision of the government of the country, the Yakutsk Electrical Engineering College of Communications was opened.
