History

2022: "Four Tastes" bought 30% of "Yamm-Pizza"

In February 2022, the Four Tastes company, 50% of which is owned by the Provincial consortium (the beneficiary is Altimo co-owner Gleb Fetisov, whose fortune Forbes estimates at $1.2 billion), bought 30% of the St. Petersburg pizza chain Yamm-Pizza. About this with reference to the data of the Unified State Register of Legal Entities reports "Kommersant."

The controlling share of Yamm-Pizza remained with the founder Vadim Kukhar, who developed the Papa John's network in St. Petersburg. Among the former project investors, Vadim Kukhar was named the co-owner of Ulmart, the former shareholder of the Lenta network, August Meyer, and producer Sergei Svetlakov. According to its own data, by February 2022 there are five restaurants in the Yamm-Pizza chain, and the company also delivers food to home and offices.

The amount and terms of the transaction between Four Tastes and Yamm-Pizza are not disclosed. The Ombudsman of the restaurant business Moscow Sergey Mironov, commenting on this deal, noted that small catering chains began to be popular with investors. According to him, with an increase in the cancellation threshold VAT for the industry from 200 million to 2 billion rubles from the beginning of 2021, investors can legally and without splitting business into several companies develop their projects, which contributed to the influx of capital into the market.

During the ban on the operation of restaurants, pizzerias continue to serve guests with skill and delivery, increasing the flow of orders due to the closure of establishments of other formats, "said Mironov.

Pizzeria is one of the most consistently popular segments of the restaurant market, the expert of the portal Franshiza.ru Anna Rozhdestvenskaya is sure. At the same time, Mironov believes that after the lifting of all restrictions related to the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic, pizzeria owners may face a significant loss of traffic due to a strong oversaturation of the market by such institutions.[1]
