Alexey Kalitsev graduated from the Faculty of Economics of Moscow State University. M.V. Lomonosov, has a Ph.D. in Economics.

Career

2010-2017

From 2010 to January 2024, Alexey Kalitsev held leadership positions in Hyundai Motor CIS LLC and was responsible for the development strategy of Hyundai and Genesis brands in Russia. Since 2017, he has been the managing director of Hyundai Motor CIS.

2024: Appointment as CEO of AGR Automotive Group

On January 23, 2024, Alexey Kalitsev became the new general director of AGR Automotive Group (AGR LLC), which is one of the largest car importers in Russia. In this position, he replaced Artem Kursakov, who remained to work in the group and will focus on the implementation of priority projects for the company.

As CEO of AGR Automotive Group, Alexey Kalitsev will be responsible for the company's long-term development strategy and strengthening its position in the Russian market.

According to the press service of AGR Automotive Group, by January 2024, Alexey Kalitsev is the chairman of the committee of the Automakers of the Association of European Businesses (AEB) and a member of the board of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (RSPP).

LLC AGR (formerly Volkswagen Group Rus LLC) is engaged in the sale of cars, spare parts, and the organization of service services in Russia. The company has a wide range of assets for the production of cars and engines, a warehouse of spare parts and accessories, and a business in the field of financial services. From 2003 to 2023, the company was the official importer and manufacturer of the concern's brands. Since Volkswagen June 2023, it has changed its name, which was the first step in the transformation and restart of the business after the transfer of VW's production assets to the new owner, Art-Finance^[1]
