Biography

1990-2005

In 1990, Peter Arduini began working at GE Healthcare, for 15 years he held various leadership positions, in particular he headed the company's divisions for the development of computer tomography and molecular imaging technologies, the provision of health services and sales in the United States.

2005-2010

In 2005, Peter Arduini joined Baxter Healthcare as corporate vice president and president of drug delivery. Arduini was responsible for the global division of Baxter with a turnover of $4.8 billion, specializing in stationary pharmaceuticals and devices and led a staff of 20,000 employees.

2010-2012

In November 2010, Peter Arduini joined Integra LifeSciences as president and chief operating officer. Since 2012, he served as chief executive officer of the company.

2021: Appointment as Head of GE Healthcare

At the end of June 2021, it became known that Peter Arduini, who previously worked for 15 years in senior positions at GE Healthcare, will return to the company as CEO. Arduini should replace the current head of GE Healthcare, Kieran Murphy, on January 3, 2022.

Murphy, who has worked in the field of health and biological sciences for more than 32 years, will remain president and chief executive officer until the end of 2021 and will support Arduini in the transition period. He will then serve as strategic advisor to the chairman and chief executive officer of GE Healthcare. Murphy worked at GE Healthcare for 13 years.

By June 2021, Peter Arduini is a board member of Bristol-Myers Squibb, the Association of Advanced Medical Technologies and the National Italian-American Foundation. He is also a member of the Board of Trustees of Saskuehann University, where he earned a bachelor's degree before earning a master's degree from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.[1]
