Career

At the beginning of the career, Allan held a position of the director of research of security issues in IBM and entered into Council for architecture of security where acted as the coauthor of IBM Secure Engineering Framework. It possesses several patents for the software in the field of cloud computing and security.

Was the executive technical director of Desktone — the hardware platform for service providers offering a hosting of desktop computers which was purchased afterwards by VMware company.

The C beginnings of 2017 held a post of the vice president for the product strategy of Veeam Software.

2020: Appointment as the executive technical director and senior vice president for product strategy of Veeam

On January 10, 2020 it became known that Veeam Software appointed Danny Allan the executive technical director (CTO) and the senior vice president (SVP) for product strategy. Allan who promoted after the previous position of the vice president for product strategy will head group and initiatives of Veeam of global product strategy. He will undertake the leadership in technology vision of the company as the leading supplier in the field of the solutions for backup providing management of cloud data.

Danny had a considerable impact on vision and strategic direction of activity of Veeam from the moment of the arrival to the company at the beginning of 2017 and played an important role in strengthening of our market position.
