2023: Helicopter crash

On April 24, 2023, an ambulance helicopter crashed in the Volgograd Region. As a result of the tragedy, the pilot died; there were no passengers on board the car.

According to the press service of the regional health committee, the helicopter fell upon returning to the base: the crash occurred in the Gorodishchensky district. As specified, the Ansat helicopter was heading to the village of Erzovka near Volgograd, where it has a place of deployment. The aircraft flew from the 25th hospital in the Dzerzhinsky district of the hero city to the Aerosoyuz airfield, but about three kilometers from the destination the crash occurred. It is known that a matter of seconds before the tragedy, the pilot requested permission to land, after which the connection was cut off.

On the evening of April 24, it rained in Volgograd, visibility was seriously reduced. Combined with the dark time of day, these circumstances could probably complicate the pilot's task and lead to tragedy. However, there is still no even preliminary cause of the crash, - notes the resource V1.RU.

The helicopter was controlled by 56-year-old pilot Oleg Vinogradov, who died at the crash site. He was born and raised in the village of Krasny Tekstilshchik, Saratov Region, and was educated at the Ufa Higher Military Aviation School of Pilots. Immediately after graduating from college, in 1990, he served in military unit No. 22590 - in the 490th separate helicopter regiment. Vinogradov was survived by his wife and two adult sons.[1]
