2020: Start of the free online platform "Print and Play"

On April 20, 2020 HP Inc company. announced start of the free online platform "Print and Play" designed to support millions of families worldwide which because of a pandemic of a coronavirus were forced to pass to house training.

For the platform various tasks, a coloring, puzzles, appliques and other fascinating materials for children aged from 2 up to 12 years were selected. The big collection of the ideas for creativity allows to select a set of ready printouts of the games and interesting occupations classified by categories, a subject and age of the child.

According to institute of public opinion of Gallup, 42% of parents are concerned by how self-isolation and remote work of educational institutions will affect quality of education of their children. The HP company understands that many families look for additional opportunities to make occupations in house conditions more effective and interesting therefore we aim to help parents and children to adjust this process,

As a result of unprecedented transition to a remote operation mode and studies many families rediscover for themselves advantages of home printers. After introduction of a quarantine the number of daily downloads of mobile application for printing of HP Smart App increased by 71%.

HP starts the free online platform for occupations with children

The recent research of HP in which 1000 parents took part emphasizes the important role of printing for families during remote work and distance learning. According to data of poll:

  • 66% of parents use printers for preparation of training materials and school tasks.
  • 62% note that they would be more prepared for learning process in the presence of the home printer;
  • 53% claim that they will be able to make leisure of the children more various using the home printer.
  • 41% print houses materials for childish sports and entertainments.
  • 1 of 4 parents or purchased the printer because of introduction of the mode of remote work and study, or is going it to purchase.
