The TV at model number 88Z9 executed on technology of organic LEDs (OLED) has the size of 88 inches on diagonal, and its permission 8K Ultra HD makes 7680 × 4320 pixels, i.e. in 16 times more, than the Full HD (1920 × 1080) standard and 4 times more, than 4K. The TV provides the highest quality of the image, including deep black color. It is connected with an OLED matrix – unlike LCD in such TV pixels shine in itself, without additional layer with illumination. It allows to achieve true black color because the pixel displaying black color just does not light up.

Of course, in the world there is practically no 8K-content, and LG solves this problem, relying on processor Alpha 9 8K of the second generation which uses algorithms of deep learning to scale images to higher resolution. Besides, LG states that the TV will use deep learning for creation of a virtual 5.1-channel surround sound with support of Dolby Atmos which will provide the most realistic audiopicture. Also it is noted that in some markets intellectual voice assistants will be included in the package of the TV Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa.

The LG company began booking in South Korea, and in the USA and Europe the TV will go on sale in the third quarter 2019.[1]
