2020: Announcement of Navicon Connect

On March 31, 2020 the Navicon company reported that it enriched the line of industry solutions for the pharmaceutical industry with the product Navicon Connect. The solution is applied and automates remote interaction of field staff of the pharmaceutical companies with clients. Using the solution medical representatives can support the necessary frequency of contact with doctors, select the most effective scenario of holding a remote visit and reach the KPI.

According to the company, spread of a coronavirus delivered a call before the pharmaceutical companies. Field employees at visit of hospitals and drugstores face risk of infection and also high load of doctors and druggists. As a result the efficiency of internal visits considerably decreases, or their carrying out becomes impossible. The situation in addition is complicated by departure of medical representatives on hospital or on a quarantine that actually reduces accomplishment of KPI to the minimum values.

The Navicon company quickly analyzed current situation and concentrated forces on helping the clients and other market participants. The solution which will help the pharmaceutical companies to transfer the field employees to a remote format of work with doctors and druggists was as a result developed. Navicon Connect is quickly unrolled in the cloud conforming to requirements of the current legislation and does not require change of the CRM system which is earlier used for accomplishment of visiting activity. The medical representative can organize a remote visit to any a point, convenient for it, using for this purpose the computer, phone or the tablet with Internet access.

The first version of the solution includes the following functionality:

  • Creation and commission of a call from the client's card;
  • Loading of an individual script of a conversation depending on the client's type;
  • Filling of the questionnaire with the medical representative during a call;
  • Fixing of results of a conversation with the client;
  • Creation of tasks on calls in the absence of the answer to a call the client;
  • The application for conversation recording with the client to a call card.

The solution assumes integration into the existing active customer base of the medical representative and telephony that will allow to fix automatically all data on outgoing calls. The entering and missed calls are also fixed in a binding to the medical representative and the client thanks to the built-in automatic identification by the phone number with a possibility of automatic creation of the connected task on a call for the medical representative.

When planning a remote visit, the medical representative can select one of several available scripts of a conversation, the most suitable and effective for work with the specific client. All results of the carried-out calls and these call tracking can be included in the reporting of a system (or other integrated solution) for control and quality check of work of medical representatives as management of the pharmaceutical company.

In the next versions the solution Navicon Connect will be enriched with additional functionality that will allow to expand a range of the tasks solved within the remote visits and to increase effect of use of the solution.

Remote visits were an effective alternative to an internal visit earlier, and now they, perhaps, will become the only channel for direct communication with doctors and druggists. Therefore pharmaceutical companies need as soon as possible to learn to manage remote work of the medical representatives. When the situation is stabilized, it will be possible to leave a part of visits in such format that will help to cut down expenses on movements and to increase productivity of work of field employees.
