2019: Use of the robot in driving school

At the end of April, 2019 the Chinese company Beijing Yi Jia Jia Technology provided the driving instructor based on AI under the name RoboCoach and already implemented it in driving schools.

The digital driving instructor is the training system integrated into the car and security control. A system uses the screen of the meter panel and a smart rear-view mirror for communication with the pupil. RoboCoach is supplied with more than 40 different radar sensors which register provision of people, other cars and the road. The robotic instructor constantly interacts with pupils and estimates their solutions. Besides, RoboCoach ensures safety of the inexperienced driver – he is capable to slow down the car at a meeting with an obstacle or causeless acceleration.

Robots became driving instructors. They teach drivers and brake a car at danger

The RoboCoach system also collects data on behavior of the pupil and even to his pose, analyzes his skills of driving in real time and adapts for it the style of teaching. Considering problems which the pupil faces during the occupations, a system aims to help the new driver to correct last errors and to prevent new.

RoboCoach stops the school vehicle

RoboCoach is already used in five centers of driving instruction belonging to parent company of the developer, Hebei Lian Investment and also in 22 other driving schools across all China. At the same time such systems of artificial intelligence as RoboCoach, cannot replace instructors people – they cannot adequately react to a stress or a fright of pupils. However they can standardize educational process, having increased security and learning efficiency.

Besides, the developer claims that at RoboCoach introduction results of pupils improved for 80%, and training costs in driving school were reduced by 70%.[1]
