Etton Group reported on April 7, 2020 results of a pilot project on creation of a "smart" control system of the address with waste which is implemented in Tatarstan since November, 2019.

On two container platforms in the cities Kazan also Innopolis installed the sensors allowing to monitor in the online mode fullness of a container and to transfer to the operator according to the address from TKO of data on need of garbage removal.

During implementation of the pilot by the system developer, the Kazan company "Etton Group", testing of sensors in actual practice is held. Start of the pilot was performed in January, 2020, it allowed to check operation of sensors and their physical characteristics in winter conditions. Tests for a vandaloustoychivost and low temperatures took place sensors successfully.

The software also demanded completion according to the results of "pilot".

For creation of the optimized garbage truck route a system should process more than the parameters. The algorithm of this transaction will be based on data on fullness of a container, about type of the CU which is exporting garbage about the current road situation.

Additional parameter which implementation is dictated by the existing conditions is a fixing of volume of waste. Existence of sensors both in a container, and in a container of the garbage truck will allow to fix the volume of waste at all stages of transportation. For the beginning of April, 2020 developers work on this function. So, a system will allow to reveal, and further to exclude unauthorized flows of waste.

"The smart container" is a standard system with a certain set of sensors and functions. Further it will become more flexible and will be integrated with the equipment existing at the regional operator and the software.

According to authors of the project the pilot project startup allowed to estimate economic effect of implementation of development. At the time of arrival of the garbage truck the container is not always filled. If arrival of garbage trucks was performed according to the data obtained from sensors it allowed to reduce fuel consumption by 4 times.

2019: A pilot project on the HSS installation

On November 11, 2019 the Etton company announced implementation in Tatarstan of a pilot project on installation of a hardware and software system for accounting of logistics of waste. As the customer PZhKH Kazan acted.

As you know, since January 1, 2019 in the Russian Federation the system of regulation of services in the address began to work with waste, including with the solid utility waste (SUW). Within reform the majority of regions approved territorial schemes and programs of the address with SUW, standards of their accumulation, selected regional operators who will undertake all stages of work with waste - from garbage removal before elimination of unauthorized dumps.

Etton was set in Tatarstan by "a HSS of accounting of solid utility waste"

The regional operators who got to work faced a problem that the actual volume of waste in containers is not fixed in any way, and it leads to increase in single car mileages and does not allow to construct optimal routes of garbage trucks, especially on remote platforms that influences increase in a rate for the population.

Etton Group developed the Russian hardware and software system "Etton. Logistics of waste", analyzing fullness of containers and garbage trucks and making optimal routes of the movement of solid utility waste of rallying points in processing points.

The hardware and software system consists of a software platform and sensors of the Russian production with a possibility of wireless data transmission on GSM.

The solution will allow to provide:

  • increase in efficiency of the regional operators providing transportation and processing of TKO;
  • decrease in a share of empty run of cargo vehicles;
  • decrease in dead times and reduction of the breaks in work connected with a human factor;
  • reduction of time of a way due to automatic optimization of routes taking into account fill factor of tanks on platforms of collecting of TKO, transport loading of roads, qualities of a roadbed, possible difficulties of journey of heavy-load cars and other factors.

The solution becomes especially necessary at the organization of separate collecting of waste when different machines should take away on fullness garbage from different containers, and without the automated approach not to build an optimal route.

As of November, 2019 in Tatarstan the pilot project within which on two container platforms (in the Aviastoritelny district of Kazan and in Innopolis) about 2 sensors on containers of separate collecting are installed is implemented. Statistics of regularity of filling of containers and the actual emptying of containers is already collected. A system itself knows when it is better to export garbage. On the interactive map container platforms with color indicators are displayed: if the indicator green, a container is empty if it yellow, is half complete and it is possible to put it in a route if red, it is filled for 100% and requires immediate emptying. Besides, a system announces possible ignition of garbage in a container, falling of a container, raising of a container without emptying, etc. So there is no opportunity not to export garbage. The actual calculation of cutting of costs for transportation of waste is conducted.

It is planned that the positive results received within project implementation will allow to scale the project at the municipal and regional levels. Data on the volume of waste will be collected from containers, garbage trucks, musoroperegruzochny and switchyards, polygons of waste. It will allow to pass from the statistical recording of waste to actual and will make a rate of the regional operator reasonable.
