2022: Plan to move all authorities to Astra Linux Special Edition

The Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) plans to transfer all authorities to OCAstra Linux in 2023 . This was announced on November 25, 2022 by the Astra Group of Companies.

A corresponding agreement was signed between the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) and Astra Group of Companies. 11 ministries and departments of the region have already completely switched to the Russian solution.

The goal is the effective implementation of the state policy in the field of import substitution, the development of information technologies and the training of highly professional personnel in ICT.

It is planned to jointly create favorable conditions for ensuring the transition of state authorities and local self-government of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) to Russian software in accordance with the legislation of the Russian Federation. It is proposed to exchange experience and knowledge between the IT specialists of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) and the Russian developer, to hold joint seminars and round tables in the region for government agencies, enterprises and educational institutions in order to increase the level of knowledge about domestic software products.

In the spring of 2022, 2500 licenses of Astra Linux OS were delivered to the State Budgetary Institution of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) RCIT. In total, in 2022, in the executive authorities of the republic, more than 800 jobs have already been fully transferred to the domestic Astra Linux OS. This operating system allows users to perform all tasks efficiently. Adaptation to the domestic OS is fast and comfortable.

In order for customers to effectively use all the capabilities and advantages of domestic IT solutions, Astra Group has built a multi-level training system for working with its software. Such activities have been carried out for more than 4 years and cover all levels of education. These are schools, universities, and DPO centers. Courses are being developed, authorized training centers are being opened, training is being conducted on the basis of customer organizations and a number of programs are operating: Astra School, Astra University, Aster shots and others. And in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), the company also plans to launch its educational projects.

The state authorities of the republic are completely switching from Windows to the Russian operating system Astra Linux. According to the plan approved by the head of the republic, by the end of 2023 all executive bodies of state power of the republic will switch to Astra Linux, said Semenov Anatoly Askalonovich, Minister of Innovation, Digital Development and Communication Technologies of Yakutia.
