Lanit helped the Pushkin museum to transfer employees to a remote operation mode

2020: Supply of equipment for remote work

On April 20, 2020 the LANIT company reported that Pushkin Museum of Fine Arts of A.S. Pushkin was provided with the equipment necessary for the organization of safe remote work of employees. Now the staff of the museum has reliable remote access to all internal digital resources Pushkin and including can quicker prepare new online projects and excursions which are very demanded during self-isolation. The Cisco company acted as the partner of the project.

The Pushkin museum never felt the need for transfer of employees for remote work, and creation of schemes and infrastructures for this purpose was not in focus of attention of services of the museum. When on March 17, 2020 the museum was closed for visitors, and since March 23 it was recommended to all to pass to remote work, there were difficulties with technical readiness for such urgent transition.

When the management of the museum appealed to help with the organization of remote work, employees of CHEEKS quickly responded. The company on a grant basis provided and set up all missing equipment: firewall Cisco Firepower with functions of expanded active protection and ensuring the protected remote access. As of April, 2020 on this technology to to servers the museum and the worker to computers 200 employees of the museum get access from the house at the same time.

Pushkin perceives current situation as an opportunity to pay attention to processes which happen inside. Employees actively conduct work on the virtual museum in which exhibitions will open, to pass lectures and excursions. For the first time in the history of the museum the online exhibition will open.

As of April 20, 2020 in the museum about 450 people work far off - all this scientific and educational departments, financial and economic services, accounting, lawyers, purchasing department, marketing and PR, IT departments and some divisions of engineering services, except direct persons on duty in buildings.
