2020: Scientists from St. Petersburg found a method to reduce the price of highly effective solar batteries

On February 4, 2020 in ITMO reported that the group of scientists from St. Petersburg offered and experimentally tested technology of creation of highly effective solar batteries on the basis of A3B5 of semiconductor connections. Researchers from the ITMO University, the Academic university of Zh.I. Alferov and Physics and technology institute of A.F. Ioffe showed that A3B5 of structure can be grown up on a cheap silicon substrate that will allow to reduce the cost of a cascade solar cell significantly. Read more here.
