In St. Petersburg the network of hypermarkets of home appliances Tekhnoshok starts automation of own distribution center based on the WMS system "BUHTA: Warehouse Complex". WMS (Warehouse Management System) is the management system providing the complete solution of problems of control automation with warehouse processes.
Acquisition of WMS "Tekhnoshok" considers as necessary investments. The warehouse complex, with a total area of 6.500 sq.m services 14 St. Petersburg hypermarkets of Tekhnoshok network today. In view of plans of the company for opening of new shops in St. Petersburg, load of the distribution center will amplify further.
During the project in a warehouse the network will be unrolled by Wi-fi, and storekeepers will be equipped with mobile computers. As a result data on goods will be instantly transferred to the managerial system of the company. Implementation of technologies of address storage and barcoding will allow to reduce significantly terms of selection of orders and to avoid the errors connected with regrading. Control of collected orders will become one of important functions of a new system.
