October 1, 2015. ELAR corporation announced the project of digitization of exhibits from fund of the Museum of the Bolshoi Theatre.

For transfer to an electronic form of archive of A.A. Gorsky the complex of high-quality scanning of Pauerskan was used. Other materials from fund of the museum of the Bolshoi Theatre reflecting history of opera and ballet art were digitized on the equipment of the Planskan brand. The main advantage of this scanner is the careful scanning excluding both mechanical impact on the original, and influence of UF-and IK-beams.

More than 4000 pictures and over 1000 hand-written documents and sketches are transferred to an electronic form. Among the most valuable materials of a collection there are pictures and manuscripts of the great Russian ballet master and the teacher Alexander Gorskogo.

"Alexander Gorsky is a unique person in the world of the Moscow ballet, the ballet master who lifted troupe of the Bolshoi Theatre on height, unknown to start the 20th century, the choreographer innovator. He paid much attention to studying of anatomy and plastics of a body of the dancer, propagandized a special system for record of movements, actively used the photo for fixing of scenery and groups of actors in performances, itself was a great photographer, did sketches and sketches of suits and scenery for the settings, - the chief keeper of the Museum of the State Academic Bolshoi Theatre Ekaterina Churakova tells. - Photos from archive of the great ballet master, his manuscript and sketches and also other valuable exhibits were scanned by specialists of ELAR. The museum is going to use digital copies of these pictures and documents for filling of the accounting system KAMIS, editions of albums and for exhibition projects".

Project Development

On August 4, 2016 ELAR company announced continuation of digitization of exhibits of the Museum of the Bolshoi Theatre.

ELAR corporation completed transfer to an electronic form of three thousand posters of the Soviet period from museum collection, and[1] more than ten thousand sketches of theatrical suits].

Among the scanned sketches created for settings in Big, works of outstanding artists namely: Konstantin Korovin, Evgeny Ponomarev, Simona Virsaladze, Vladimir Dmitriyev. Exhibits are scanned in formats and with the permission which will allow to use digital images in accounting activity, for the edition of books, in exhibition projects and also for filling of future website of the Museum of the Bolshoi Theatre.

Playbills and sketches are scanned in the territory of the museum. Application of complexes of high-quality scanning of the ELAR Pauerskan brand gave the chance to create electronic copies of a format to A0 without program stitching with the optical resolution not less than 600 dpi.

We cooperate with the Museum of the Bolshoi Theatre since 2011. Within the joint project it was created electronic 3D - a collection of unique scenic suits, pictures from a collection of the museum, the hand-written documents, in particular, belonging to the great Russian ballet master and the teacher Alexander Gorsky are transferred to an electronic form. And at each stage of our joint work approach to digitization was special.

the Museum of the Bolshoi Theatre digitized fund of suits

On July 19, 2017 ELAR corporation announced transfer to a digital format more than two thousand exhibits from fund of suits of the Museum of the Bolshoi Theatre.

Section of digitization was unrolled in the territory of storage of the Museum of the Bolshoi Theatre. Scenic suits are transferred to a digital format on the special equipment for creation of electronic images of valuable volume objects in high resolution.

The museum receives the cylindrical roller allowing to consider a screen object in all its aspects and in parts and also the photo of an exhibit which can be loaded into the accounting system and Goskatalog of Museum Fund of the Russian Federation. Thus, digital copies are used by the museum in accounting activity and for representation of collections.

We use electronic images within the organization of interactive exhibitions when on large-sized monitors are shown 3D - rollers. Thus, the modern viewer has an opportunity to see those suits which cannot be exposed because of their safety, or because of impossibility to provide for them special conditions of exposure.
