MTS implements a communication quality monitoring system

Announced JSC Mobile TeleSystems start of the project on implementation of a single system of control and quality management of services in MTS Group, investments into the project will make more than 600 million rubles.

The project is initiated within implementation of technology strategy of the company directed to unification of business processes of MTS Group and provision of services of high-quality communication. A main objective of implementation of a new solution is control and quality management of the services provided to subscribers. In the long term, installation of this system will allow MTS to implement provision of services of cellular communication and data transmission with guaranteed quality irrespective of complexity of network infrastructure and a possibility of signing of Service Level Agreement (SLA) with corporate clients.

Project implementation provides creation of a hardware and software system for control and quality management of services using system implementation of operational support of new generation (NG OSS - New Generation Operations Systems and Software) - a product catalog and technology services Service Inventory, the subsystems of message handling arriving from management systems for the equipment, a subsystem of control and quality management of services (NGSA – Next-Generation Service Accurance), management subsystems agreements on the level of SLA Management service. The strategic partner in project implementation selected Comarch company.

"Development of technologies and a variety of telecommunication equipment, high activity of MTS in the M&A market lead to the fact that infrastructure of networks of MTS Group becomes harder and harder every year. The equipment which is providing provision of services to subscribers, but belonging to different generations of technologies, having different feature set and delivered by the different companies works at networks. Installation of a single system of control and quality management of services will allow MTS "lead to a uniform denominator" monitoring and management of all technological solutions of Group that as a result will influence improvement of quality of provision of services of communication", - the vice president of MTS for the equipment Andrey Ushatsky noted.

At the first stage of implementation the complete functionality of control and quality management of services will be implemented in Moscow, and until the end of 2013 a system will be installed in all regions of presence of MTS Group in Russia. Thanks to implementation of this project, any incident affecting quality of providing service will not remain undetected, subscribers will be able to be proactively informed on communication decline in quality, specialists of MTS will be able to predict changes in quality of provision of services and also to exercise control over work on troubleshooting.
