Rudgormash (TP CAD Vertical)

The Rudgormash engineering company specializes in production and sale of the mountain equipment. Its design office executes orders of many mining enterprises of our country, FSU and beyond, creating the drilling rigs adapted for these or those working conditions according to their technical specifications. After implementation of means of automatic design of ASCON company the enterprise managed to accelerate a work progress significantly: according to representatives of CB, in the last two-three years it developed machines more, than for the last 60 years. Short terms of design first of all were provided with existence of base of 3D models and design-technology documentation. "Use of 3D models at design allowed to increase quality of the made products along with sharp reduction of terms of works. And today any more in workshop surprises nobody when the designer in response to the question posed shows opportunities 3D - modeling" — Vladimir Glazunov, the chief of special design bureau of drilling equipment of Rudgormash said.

Project implementation took place in several stages. On the first the enterprise implemented the KOMPAS-3D system that simplified study of nodes and kinematics of mechanisms. There was an opportunity in the shortest possible time to consider a huge number of options. The quantity of mechanical errors when developing drawings was also sharply reduced, the errors connected with a human factor (fatigue, carelessness) were excluded. Types of nodes and parts began to be created automatically from models.

At the second stage system implementation "the Pilot began: PLM": the base of the corporate reference book of materials and a range, the reference book of standard products was filled. At this stage the architecture of structure of a product was also studied and integration with the KOMPAS-3D system, the corporate reference book "Materials and Ranges", the PartLib tools was performed.

Then the company started study of a technology segment (a CAD of technology processes Vertical), the reference books of materials and standard products created by ASCON company which were projected according to standards of the enterprise were added.

At the fourth stage of the project connection to work with the database of the producing production departments and departments (obtaining reports, documents, drawings and models) became possible. In parallel with it work on integration of the Pilot and 1C: Enterprise systems was conducted. Data are available to financial services from the electronic database. Works on system implementation Vertical became an important component of this stage. Interaction of design and technology services became a decisive factor of reduction of terms on the way from design before finished product output.
