UZ Maternity Hospital No. 4 of the South-Western Administrative District State Healthcare Institution together with 1C-Rarus company automation systems of medical institution on the 1C:Enterprise 8 platform implemented an implementation project.

Tasks

In 2010 sharply there was an issue of increase in level of controllability by maternity hospital and service of patients and also optimization of financial activities of maternity hospital. With respect thereto the management of organization made the decision on creation of the single automated medical information system for the solution of the following tasks:

Quality improvement of providing medical care to patients

Increase in profitability in the way

  • Increases in number of patients due to reduction of time for their service;

  • Cutting of costs for carrying out repeated researches;

  • Performance improvements due to integration into the medical equipment;

  • Quality improvements of delivery of health care;

Ensuring financial transparency

  • Accounting of all services, control of payments;

  • Timely obtaining account registers on payment in medical insurance companies;
  • Formation of the personal additional salary to personnel on actually rendered services;
  • Personified (on each patient) accounting of supplies and medicines by financing sources;

Compliance to requirements of the legislation

  • To 152 federal law of the Russian Federation "About Personal Data";

  • To requirements of the Ministry of Health and Social Development of the Russian Federation.

The 1C-Rarus company became the partner in the project. The management of Maternity hospital No. 4 selected the software product "1C-Rarus: Out-patient clinic, edition 1" on the 1C:Enterprise 8 platform - the solution for health facilities, including maternity hospitals.


Now within the project 30 jobs on the following sections are automated:

  • Out-patient clinic, including registry;
  • Hospital, including reception, movement and statement of patients;
  • Kliniko-diagnostichesky laboratory;
  • Administrative activity;
  • Drugstore, accounting of medicines and goods of the pharmaceutical range, including supplies;
  • Settlement with medical insurance companies.


Results

As a result of automation Maternity hospital No. 4 got the following advantages: Increase in speed of a design of patients due to automatic formation of medical documentation. Reduction of queues due to planning of acceptance by specialists doctors and system implementations of self-record of patients.

Saving of time of medical personnel at document creation, reports and analytical reports thanks to keeping in uniform MIS of the general data on patients, the history of relationship. Interaction between personnel, document retrieval is facilitated. Effective control of payment and conducting settlement with patients and insurance companies.

Control of receivables and exception of loss of data when settling with insurance companies.

Rationalization of expenses and increase in profitability of organization due to ensuring comprehensive control of organization activity.

Automation of calculation of the additional salary of personnel for rendering paid medical services and reduction of the total time expenditure on formation of ZP.

Opinion

According to Dmitry Romanovich Baybikov, the head of department of paid medical services of Maternity hospital No. 4: "The information system allows us to exclude data loss about financial resources and about patients of maternity hospital. MIS helps us to analyze and predict our activity: costs, flow of patients, work of doctors; promotes increase in controllability by maternity hospital".
