The Telenor Serbia company implements the OSS solution

The operating company Telenor Serbia implemented OSS- the solution Amdocs for management of planning and inventory. This project is the first stage of upgrade OSS of century Telenor Serbia.

Expectations

Upgrade of OSS will give to the operator new opportunities for input in a system of networks of new generation (NGN) based on IP and effective management of them that will allow to offer three million subscribers of Telenor Serbia new services and services.

The OSS solution Amdocs will give to Telenor Serbia full control over network, having provided management of the company with complete data about the services and resources necessary for support of transactions, planning processes, rendering services and quality control. Accuracy and the continuity of the data received using the OSS solution will have a positive impact on cost reduction and increase in efficiency of transactions. The built-in functions of planning will allow to save resources for the subsequent input in a system, will provide a possibility of creation of several development strategies and modeling of different scenarios. As a result, Telenor Serbia will be able to lower operating and capital expenditure, putting into operation new capacities only there and when it is necessary.

Opinion

"Transition to networks of new generation (NGN) is inevitable owing to the competition and market demands. We need a system which will allow to start quickly new services at full control of costs, - the technical director of Telenor Serbia Oystein Mikkelsen says. – The solution Amdocs will show us exact model of our network and will provide complete data about resources, will perform the exact forecast of development of network and need for increase in its capacity. As a result we will be able to increase efficiency due to timely use of resources and to lower time to market of new services due to process automation of planning and rendering services".

The solution Amdocs OSS is implemented using the partner – the company S&T Serbia. OSS- the solution Amdocs was also unrolled in the company Telenor Sweden.
