On July 20, 2017 the Schneider Electric company announced the next version of StruxureWare Data Center Operation (DCO) 8.1.

DCO 8.1 is a subsystem for control and management of engineering infrastructure (IT Asset Management) which functionality allows operators and administrators of DPCs to manage more effectively resources, to carry out the current tasks of placement and movement of server and network equipment, to switch and consider connections, to control loadings and a working environment of data center. 2016: StruxureWare Data Center Operation 8.0

In May, 2016 Schneider Electric released the version of StruxureWare Data Center Operation 8.0 which is expansion of own platform of infrastructure management of DPCs (DCIM, Data Center Infrastructure Management). Data Center Operation 8.0 includes functions which provide higher quality of management engineering and IT infrastructures for joint work of all services of DPC, now and including the clients operating own equipment in commercial DPC. The features added in version 8.0 Data Center Operation simplify management of DPC and include:

• Web client: allows to use the browser, including the mobile device, for carrying out inventory, search of the equipment, viewing key parameters of resource consumption and loading. It reduces costs on maintenance and risks when carrying out changes;
• The portal for clients: allows commercial providers to offer additional services based on the DCIM system. 2014

Data center infrastructure management

On January 30, 2014 the Schneider Electric company announced the joint project with HP company which purpose - creation of the convergent platform of management of DPC and its IT infrastructure.

Project Plans

The similar platform will be able to provide the approved control of operating parameters from outside, both engineering personnel of DPC, and specialists of IT that will increase coordination and efficiency.

Services of consultation on convergent management from HP and software company of infrastructure management of DPC from Schneider Electric company will be a part of the joint solution (StruxureWare for DPCs). On March 20, 2014 the Schneider Electric company announced release of StruxureWare for Mining, Minerals and Metals - a complex application package on optimization of production operation for cost reduction and increase in stability of transactions in the mining, mineral and raw and metallurgical industries.

On June 10, 2014 the Schneider Electric company announced entry into the market of the new version of the StruxureWare Data Center Operation v7.4 system.

The product provides new features of management and access to important information - it allows to combine ideally high readiness and maximum efficiency for all lifecycle of DPC. Being a part of the solution Schneider Electric for infrastructure management of DPC (DCIM), Data Center Operation v7.4 will allow to optimize management of services of placement of the client equipment, control of power supply and network resources. The management of DPCs and engineers will be able to release the hidden power reserves, to pick up resources, to control key indicators in the existing management systems, reducing capital and operating costs.

One of key functions - modeling of failures of a power supply, including, taking into account transition of an overall load to reserve lines, as at the level of premises, zones and racks, and at the level of servers for which permanent presence of sufficient power at least on one input from two is important (in case of servers from two BP).

StruxureWare Data Center Operation v7.4 displays distribution of power at the level of client zones and racks with a possibility of the display stated, consumed and average quantity of the electric power for loadings which exact parameters are unknown at the time of placement; detailed billing for clients, expanded information on them and improved visual display of client zones is provided. 2013

Modular DPC up to 2 MW

On December 9, 2013 the Schneider Electric company announced release of previously assembled modules of engineering infrastructure for construction of DPCs with a power up to 2 MW.

The modules of the machine hall assembled at the plant, modules of power supply and modules of cooling provide fast deployment of DPCs and the increased flexibility in the course of their further expansion and operation.

The company brings to the market of 15 types of previously assembled modules of engineering infrastructure for creation of DPCs and 14 new standard projects using these the module. As a part of standard projects detailed documentation for construction of scalable DPCs with a power gain step from 250 kW to 2000 kW. Projects meet the requirements of standards of The Uptime Institute organization for the Tier II and Tier III levels. The new previously assembled modules provide power supply, cooling and placement of the IT equipment, are equipped with high-class infrastructure components and an infrastructure management system of DPC (DCIM) of StruxureWare that allows to unroll quickly data center with known characteristics. Modules have power from 90 kW to 1200 kW and can be modified according to requirements of customers.

The Schneider Electric company announced at the beginning of 2013 the next replenishment of the arsenal of software of infrastructure management of a data processing center (Data Center Infrastructure Management, DCIM). The StruxureWare Data Center Operation for Co-location application was a part of a set of StruxureWare for Data Centers Software Suite intended for operators of commercial DPCs with a large number of tenants. The StruxureWare Data Center Operation Suite platform offered by Schneider Electric company provides the software for infrastructure management of data center (DCIM), including monitoring and systems management of power supply, cooling, and security and also energy consumption of the building using IT systems, and gives to clients unobstructed sight and control over daily transactions in the data center.

      This platform is also integrated with the solution BMC Remedy Change Management, a compound component of the BMC's Remedy IT Service Management Suite platform. • The modules StruxureWare Power and StruxureWare Cooling – these improved functions are implemented by Schneider Electric company on the known innovation platforms of monitoring of power supply (the former name ION Enterprise) and automation of cooling systems (the former name Continuum), and these products adapt to specific features of environments of data processing centers.
  • The module StruxureWare Power provides monitoring of electrotechnical infrastructure of an object and data processing center from input of the external power supply network to rack sockets.
