The Wolfram Research company, the system developer of Mathematica, announced in the summer of 2011 the new platform for visualization of difficult data and interaction with them. Thanks to Computable Document Format (CDF) technology users will be able to create visual representations of own data sets and to provide to third-party users convenient tools for manipulations with them.
The CDF platform assumes not only data visualization, but also includes algorithms for determination of relationship between different data sets. Including the CDF format allows to build in interactive images digital textbooks, scientific publications, the business presentations and other documents in electronic formats in which for submission of various data diagrams, charts and other static images are used. The new technology does documents by more dynamic and also gives to the audience an interaction opportunity with elements of the presentations.
The platform provides a possibility of profound studying and the analysis of complex data. The offered management tools allow to trace relationship between data sets and to watch changes in real time.
At the moment for viewing data in the CDF format the user needs to install a free software module on the PC. However, in the future Wolfram developers plan release of the upgraded version of the platform intended for deployment on Web servers and excluding need of loading of additional software.
