Complex automation of accounting activity of Sibneft-Khantos (JSC Gazprom Neft)

The Microtest company developed the financial accounting system based on software products of SAP meeting all business needs of the company for the Sibneft-Khantos enterprise. The solution created for Sibneft-Khantos became a basis of financial systems of all oil-producing enterprises of Gazprom Neft holding.

The Sibneft-Khantos company is the young actively developing enterprise formed in only 6 months prior to the beginning of the project. SAP solutions are the corporate standard of JSC Gazprom Neft, and by the time of start of the project on Sibneft-Khantos they were already successfully operated in central office of the company and at some oil processing enterprises.

The project of automation of accounting activity in Sibneft-Khantos company was executed under the direction of Microtest system integrator. Considerable experience of the company in the field of management consulting and existence of industry expertize became basic reasons of the choice Microtest as the partner in the project.

Specialists Microtest should not just implement the developed solution, but also to develop uniform accounting rules for mining companies of Gazprom Neft company in the conditions of cardinal differences of the majority of approaches in accounting.

Besides, it was necessary to integrate the implemented solution with the system of SAP adapted not to the extracting activity, and to oil processing and sale working at the enterprises "Gazprom Neft". It demanded from Microtest of non-standard solutions for observance of two main requirements delivered by the customer:

• Maximum use of standard solutions;
• Setup of the implemented system taking into account changes in logic of already used packets of SAP.

Solution

At all stages of the project employees Microtest actively interacted with the customer's IT specialists, distributing all stages of work. The project team Microtest booked audit and the analysis of business processes, conceptual design and development of project solutions. Having serious project technology, Microtest gave to an implementation command consulting support during all project works — from setup of a system before its introduction to commercial operation. After system implementation specialists Microtest provided training of staff of customer company in work with a system.

Within the project all business processes, key for the company, were analyzed and designed for reflection in a system:

• management of lifecycle of fixed assets — from construction before their liquidation;
• formation of cost of objects of capital construction and their input in operation;

• Solution of CO "Controlling": Controlling of activity of the enterprise; The Cost accounting on MVZ; The Cost accounting on internal orders; The Job order cost accounting on a product;
• Solution IM, PS "System of Projects": Investment management Investment program, investment action, investment order System of projects Projects, SPP elements;

THE ACHIEVED RESULTS

Process automation of financial management by the company increased flexibility and transparency of business Sibneft-Khantos, supporting everything accepted Russian and international accounting standards and also maintaining the departmental cost accounting according to regulating documents and industry standards.

Besides, the staff of financial service of the company received the solution for tax accounting corresponding to all business needs of oil-producing enterprise. In particular, in it the functionality of calculation of step-by-step cost value was implemented. Also created system provided to the company necessary tools for fixed asset accounting and objects of capital construction.

Among the business effects received by Sibneft-Khantos company from use of a system — reducing costs of administrative-and-management personnel, an opportunity to precisely consider costs including costs for the separate order, effective management of deliveries and sales of products.

The SAP solution developed based on software products formed a basis for financial systems of all mining companies of Gazprom Neft company and was replicated on new mining company of Sibneft Vostok holding.

Besides, now based on this solution the financial system of Noyabrskneftegaz company — head mining company JSC Gazprom Neft is developed.
