Tetrasvyaz will create the system of a digital mobile radio communication of the TETRA standard on a cascade of Serebryansky HEPS in Murmansk region

The Tetrasvyaz group (on behalf of RadioTel Ltd), informs on start of the project on creation of a system of a digital mobile technology radio communication of the TETRA standard for needs of JSC TGC-1 (Territorial generating company No. 1) which is a strategic producer of electrical and thermal energy in North-West Region.

The communication system created for needs of Kolsky branch of JSC TGC-1 is intended for implementation of technology and operational tasks at operation of objects of hydropower and will provide uninterrupted communication and effective interaction of all responsible persons both in daily activity, and in the mode of an emergency situation.

In the project progress Tetrasvyaz will execute a complex project and installation and construction works on creation of reserve inter-chip digital link and the organization of network of a radio communication of the TETRA standard on a cascade of the Serebryansky hydroelectric power stations located in Murmansk region. The reference transport network of a radio network of the TETRA standard is going to be organized on the basis of the equipment of wireless access.

Functionality of a system of a technology radio communication of the TETRA standard provides the round-the-clock and high-quality radio communication, work in the mode of individual and group calls, transfer of short messages and navigation information from the GLONASS satellites. In comparison with public service networks, the TETRA network is steady against failures and peak loads, is reliably protected from unauthorized access, allows to set instantly connection between different user groups.

The system of a mobile technology radio communication of the TETRA standard will cover four hydroelectric power stations (Serebryansky GES-15 and Serebryansky GES-16 – on the river of Carrion crows, Upper Teribersky GES-18 and Lower Teribersky GES-19 – on the river Teriberka). The coverage of TETRA network will also include the route "Murmansk-Tumanny-Teriberka" which is not provided with other types of communication now.

Commissioning of a system of a mobile technology radio communication of the TETRA standard for needs of JSC TGC-1 is planned for the 4th quarter 2011.
