Scientific developments of the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research under protection of ESET NOD32

ESET company, the international developer of antivirus software and solutions in the field of a computer security, announced delivery of 500 licenses of anti-virus solution of ESET NOD32 Business Edition to the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research.

Selecting new anti-virus solution, technical specialists of the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research held testing of several most known anti-virus products from different developers whom solutions of ESET companies, Dr.Web, Symantec and Kaspersky Lab were among. To a new product a number of requirements, the most important of which were ensuring reliable protection of servers and workstations against the diverse, including unknown malware, high percent of detection of the Trojan programs and also the minimum loading of a system of the client, was initially shown. According to the results of the tender the solution ESET NOD32 Business Edition was recognized optimal based on the ratio of detection of threats and scanning speed.

"On a test stage the antivirus of ESET company showed higher speed of work in comparison with other solutions, - Korenkov Vladimir noted, the associate director of Laboratory of Information Technologies of the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research – at the same time due to creation of the server of local updates, a so-called mirror, was minimized an expense of external traffic. Now implementing solution is completely finished, the server hardware runs smoothly, the number of addresses to technical support because of system infection was reduced".

The solution ESET NOD32 Business Edition is developed for networks of the large and average organizations and provides protection of file servers and workstations against viruses, the Trojan programs, worms, espionage and advertizing software, phishing attacks, rootkits and other Internet threats.
