The SAP company tries to receive a market share of business applications on demand, starting the new version of ERP Business ByDesign. Analysts say that decrease in a share of SAP in the market of ERP products not to avoid.

SAP released the latest version of the ERP- the system on demand (on demand) Business ByDesign which is delivered with modules CRM (customer relationship management) and other business functions. By calculations of the Trefis portal, the software ERP also CRM makes about 60% in estimated cost SAP at the price of $62 for an action. Other large players in this business: Microsoft Oracle and Salesforce.com.

Now SAP is the leader in the development area of the software of ERP, but began to give in gradually to competitors. The company entered the market of products on demand late enough, but its Business ByDesign is in demand directly since launch.

Software represents completely integrated solution ERP- on demand as a part of which there are modules CRM, SCM (supply chain management) and PM (project management). The product is intended for the companies of the small and medium size.

At SAP is available also solutions Business One and Business Suite - for the companies wishing to use ERP- the solution on own equipment. Business ByDesign 3.0 got a number of improvements, including mobile support Windows 7 and the improved set for the developer (SDK).

Today SAP occupies a market share ERP- products in the amount of 27%. This share will decrease, according to Trefis assessment, to 24% by the end of the predicted period. If offer on demand from SAP become popular, it will be able to receive a share of this market at the expense of the companies Oracle Salesforce.com, Microsoft and NetSuite.

Plans of the company are not deprived of ambitions. Eric Duffaut, the president of SAP SE on work with partners and a global ecosystem, at the Russian office of the company at the end of July selected the top trends considered by SAP for promotion of the products for press conferences: mobility, the growing information volumes and transition to "cloud". According to him, the closest control tag of strategic actions of SAP is on a boundary of 2014-2015. By that moment the company is going to reach level of income of 20 billion €/year, and the number of active users of its products should grow to 1 billion.

It is necessary to notice that the closest competitor of SAPOracle, also does not doze. Recently the company announced acquisition of vendor of solutions of knowledge management InQuira. Then analysts said that developments of InQuira will help Oracle to take the leading place of the market of complete solutions for the enterprises of small and medium business.
