In Gordmans company the project of protection of network infrastructure is implemented

The Gordmans company performed implementing solution of Sourcefire IPS for optimization of protection of the network infrastructure.

Solution

The solution of Sourcefire IPS allowed Gordmans company to increase transparency of perimeter of network, to strengthen control over execution of internal security policies, to block network attacks and to react timely to potential threats.

In passing

Together with the solution of Sourcefire IPS the Gordmans company uses Sourcefire RNA service to achieve the maximum transparency of perimeter of network. Service allows specialists of Gordmans to develop clear policies of security and to configure the IPS device so that it reacted to any deviation from normal activity of network, including to change of settings and violation of security policies. It also allows to detect and block timely network anomalies which can pose serious security risk, for example, harmful traffic, uncontrollable devices, access to unauthorized services and inadmissible use of client applications.

Background

The Gordmans company uses the solution of Sourcefire IPS for protection of the network and data and also for achievement of compliance to requirements of regulations, such as Sorbeynza-Oxley's law and PCI DSS standard. In comparison with solutions which were used by Gordmans company earlier Sourcefire IPS has the improved abilities to manage that allows to update the available IPS decisions without problems and if necessary to expand network infrastructure by connection of new devices.
