The system of protection of own corporate e-mail in Asteros

On August 18, 2011 it was reported that Asteros constructed the system of protection of own corporate e-mail on the eSafe platform. The solution covers more than 1400 employees at the central office and 6 branches in the territory of the CIS. Centralized operation, operational filling of the anti-virus database and content filtering of messages increased the level of information security, reduced quantity of daily mail spam and ensured effective functioning of staff of the company.

With opening of regional branches, increase in number of employees and also in connection with transfer of own IT infrastructure to private corporate "cloud", before Asteros there were new tasks of protection of data assets. The company the solution which would allow to use e-mail was required, without being distracted by fight against spam and the malware and also to reduce labor costs by information security management in the difficult geographically distributed environment. At first a system was unrolled on resources of a private cloud of Asteros, and then for performance improvement and fault tolerance was transferred to a cluster from 5 high-end servers of HP.

The information security system services more than 1400 employees at the central office and six branches in the territory of the CIS today, providing protection of all infrastructure of the company. In a labor cost project deliverable on administration and maintenance of a system of antivirus protection decreased more than by 4.5 times. The downtime of the PC connected with identification and elimination of the malware was reduced.
