HP 3PAR of V-class is the productive storage system intended for placement of these applications, critical for business. She is capable to support at the same time mixed, unpredictable and multi-user loadings on one disk array. This unique opportunity is provided thanks to a dedicated integrated microcircuit of HP 3PAR of Gen4 ASIC which offers the following advantages:
- consolidation of dynamically changing workloads, for example, the systems of financial biddings and the virtualized applications, without the need for manual separation of different tasks of areas of storage system;
- one and a half times more than available input/output ports and disk resources and also performance improvement by 3 times (in comparison with the previous systems 3PAR) for consecutive input-output, for example, at data analysis;
- automatic balancing of placement of data on an array when adding new resources which provides performance improvement and availability to all volumes of a storage system.
The efficiency necessary in the conditions of the explosive growth of amounts of data
While the competing solutions seldom provide more than 10-20% of useful use of disk space, the array of HP 3PAR of V-Class allows to use all available capacity and to avoid need of purchase of "excess" space.:
- three times big capacity which provides fast transfer from "thick" volumes on outdated arrays on "thin", more effective volumes of an array HP 3PAR;
- thanks to new Nano Reclamation technology a system is capable to define and release effectively not used disk space as data register and removed;
- the mechanism of remote replication of data which will recognize not used space and reduces the needs for capacity of data networks and for the necessary capacity of the remote disk array.
The V-Class HP 3PAR technology is the cornerstone of new solutions of HP VirtualSystem and HP CloudSystem. These complete solutions integrate the equipment, the software and services, accelerate implementation of new technologies and transition to an open hybrid cloud environment.
