Biography

Vasyl was born on July 19, 1972.

"The conductor of musical theater, the conductor of symphonic orchestra" graduated from the Highest state institute of N. Lysenko in 1995 (Ukraine, Lviv), with qualification.

Got additional education in the field of marketing in educational institutions of Moscow, Brussels, Prague, Vienna and London.

From 1996 to 2001 held positions in Coca-Cola Ukraine Ltd, Coca-Cola Bottlers Siberia in Russia and Ukraine in the field of marketing and general management.

In 2001-2005 was the head of marketing department of MTS Ukraine.

In October, 2005 it is appointed to the position of the marketing director.

Since 2010 Vasyl Latsanich deystvut as the cochairman of TV committee at the American chamber of commerce in Ukraine.

2011: CEO of MTS Ukraine

In March, 2011 received the CEO's position "MTS Ukraine".

In June, 2012 as the marketing vice president of JSC MTS was a part of Board of Directors of MGTS.

In June, 2017 it became known that the Vice president of Mobile TeleSystems operator (MTS) Vasyl Latsanich leaves the company and passes in to work into the Veon group (the former Vimpelcom) working in Russia under a trademark Beeline. The Interfax agency with reference to the sources reported about it. Affirms that Latsanich can head VimpelCom - Russian "subsidiary" of Veon. The vice president for strategy and marketing of MTS Vasyl Latsanich will head VimpelCom (a brand Beeline) since January 1, 2018. According to TASS with reference to the sources familiar with a situation, the contract is already signed. To the introduction in this position Latsanich will work as the vice president of VEON holding which includes VimpelCom and to be engaged in development of the Italian division of the company.

In November, 2017 the VimpelCom company (a trademark Beeline, is included into the Veon group) announced appointment of the new CEO. Ukrainian Vasyl Latsanich became him.

2018: CEO VimpelCom

On January 10, 2018 VimpelCom started fulfillment of duties of the CEO. The contract with it is signed till December 31, 2020.

For April 23, 2018 Vasyl Igorevich Latsanich works at the CEO's position VimpelCom.

2020: Departure from the job of the CEO of VimpelCom

On February 14, 2020 the VimpelCom company (a brand Beeline) announced that at the end of June, 2020 Vasyl Latsanich will leave a post of the CEO of the company. Read more here. Victor Biryukov is appointed the acting as the CEO of the company.

According to Vasyl Latsanich, VimpelCom is in development process of the long-term development strategy.

I was not going to remain for this long period as I want to be closer to family which lives several years in other country. Therefore we worked the reasonable solution with long completion date when it is possible with comfort for the company to delegate powers and to provide succession process. Absolutely logically and correctly for business that development and, the main thing, implementation of new strategy were performed by the new management, - Vasyl Latsanich considers.[1]
