The 1C-Rarus company automated the Transvudservice plants - Russian Railway subsidiary company. The solution "1C: Corporate Finance Management 8" helped to organize the centralized control of payments of branches of the enterprise, to manage the budget and to control performance of agreements. By 4 times the budget of current expenses is reduced by IT. Time when processing of the arriving documentation is twice reduced. In 4 months about 100 jobs at 11 plants located in the territory of all Russia are automated.

The Transvudservice open joint stock company, JSC Russian Railways subsidiary company, is the leader in production of sleeper impregnation products (impregnation of wood, cross ties, a bar). Branches of the enterprise – the sleeper impregnation plants – are located in the territory of all Russia, from the Bryansk region to Khabarovsk Krai, from the administrative centers at a distance. In total in management of the company there are 11 plants.

The enterprise buys raw materials from suppliers, makes products and sells it to the buyer – head company "Russian Railway". The finished goods are transported to the buyer to the destination. From Russian Railway of compensation for transportation the Transvudservice company provides supporting documents for receiving. The number of such documents averages 2000 units a month. Document creation manually took a lot of time, employees quite often made mistakes.

Besides, the head office could not control quickly performance of agreements with suppliers and the buyer, a budget expenditure in branches. Transvudservice the information system which would allow was required for the management:

  • Receive operational reports about a financial position of branches;
  • Control accomplishment of orders from the head company - "Russian Railway".

For the solution of these tasks the 1C: Corporate Finance Management 8 software product was selected. The program also allowed to conduct tax and accounting, budgeting, to exercise the centralized treasurer control.

Involved specialists of 1C-Rarus company in automation. Works started in December, 2010 with preproject inspection. All process of automation about 100 jobs at the plants located across all territory of Russia took four months.

The main achievements of the project became:

  • Centralized operation by budgets of branches:
    • formation of the daily register of payments, implementation of all payments for branches from the head company;
    • an exception of a possibility of carrying out the payments which are not provided in the budget of cash flow of branches;
    • an opportunity to keep account according to specific budget items;

  • Control of work with agreements:

    • accounting of the scanned agreements according to specific budget items;
    • control of performance of agreements;

  • Setup of exchange of electronic documents with the supplier and the buyer who allowed to reduce twice time for processing of the arriving documents (in comparison with manual entry);
  • The automated accounting of 2,000 primary documents of transportation of each unit of production to the destination in a month for the purpose of the subsequent reexposure of expenses of Russian Railway;
  • Full automation of process of control of correctness of filling of the documents confirming transportation of products to the buyer that allowed to reduce execution of works on this section by 80 man-hours a month.

Alexander Lednev, the Deputy General Manager for Economics and to finance of JSC Transvudservice, so estimated project deliverables: "Successful implementation "1C:Enterprise 8" became possible thanks to constructive and professional interaction of staff of our company and a project team of Intensive Center "1C-Rarus". Transition to a new information system allowed the company to reduce four times the budget of current expenses by IT, to conduct document flow according to the uniform standard and to strengthen budget control. Thanks to system implementation at the enterprise business processes were optimized, a common information space for interaction of head office and divisions in the field of finance is created that as a result influenced quality improvement of management of branches".
