History

2023: Successful actions of the head of the Academy Alexander Romanchuk during the SVO in Ukraine

Head of the Combined Arms Order of Zhukov Academy of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation Alexander Romanchuk in 2023 successfully acted during the special operation of Russia in Ukraine. In the summer of 2023, a difficult situation developed on the Zaporizhzhya arc: on the eve of the upcoming large-scale offensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the commander of the group was tasked with determining the direction of the main attack of the enemy, which he successfully coped with.

Romanchuk went to provoke the enemy: his favorite technique is a fire carousel - delivering continuous disturbing strikes with a frequency of up to 10 rounds per minute over a large area, in order to induce the enemy to strike back and then unmask his positions.

On June 8, the command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine could not stand their nerves: the enemy advanced the forces of the 33rd and 47th brigades to Rabotino and fell into a trap: driven by the desire to suppress and destroy artillery and tanks of the Russian Armed Forces, the enemy flocked to Malaya Tokmachevka, where it was blown up by mines.

Romanchuk is not the author of this technique, but successfully tested and secured it earlier near Hanasser and Aleppo in Syria in 2016, where the issue of the superiority of maneuverable defense over positional defense was forever closed.

2006

Since 2006, on the basis of order of the Government of the Russian Federation No. 473-r, the Military Institute (Engineering Troops) was included in the Combined Arms Academy as a structural unit during the reorganization of the Military Engineering Academy named after V.V. Kuibyshev.
