Order in the city of Samara is kept by a video surveillance system

Within the federal program for prevention of offenses "The safe city" in Samara the intelligent system of video surveillance of VOCORD Tahion is brought into operation.

Implementation

The implementation project of a video surveillance system was carried out by Megatelekom company. A system is constructed based on the solution of Vokord company - VOCORD Tahion.

Details

Within the project in Samara more than 70 cameras are mounted. Except stationary cameras, in places of the increased danger the robotic cameras with a possibility of optical approach and turn by 180 degrees are mounted. The network of video cameras is integrated with processing system of video images and information systems installed in the Situational center At the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Samara.

Operators of the Situational center in real time conduct monitoring of information which is brought to the videowall that gives them the chance quickly to react to offenses and emergency situations. In the same place the archive of all video information is stored.

Objectives

Further it is going to expand network of video cameras on the city. Here an important role is played by excellent scalability of VOCORD Tahion: a system is increased by the number of cameras and servers without stopping of its work.

Result

Now a system is brought into operation and successfully works in a full compliance to initial technical specifications. The management of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Samara region expressed gratitude to Vokord company for the help in project implementation.
