Specialists of "Institute of Standard Solutions — Production" company (Institute of Model Solutions) completed process of implementation of an end-to-end system of automation at the enterprises of Nova Roll Group. Now operation of queues of financial accounting and planning on all enterprises "Nova Roll" started. Creation of the automated tools for operational resource planning and preparation of management and financial statements on the enterprises of holding became a project deliverable.

For implementation of the operational and strategic management of activity of the enterprises of holding the uniform automated control system was required for the management. Such system had to provide accomplishment of all basic functions of accounting of the inventory items (II), preparation of the consolidated financial and management reporting on the enterprises of group and holding in general, to give an opportunity of operational resource planning. Decrease in dependence on "a human factor" was the main requirement to a system.

In the order on the enterprises of Nova Roll LLC the following purposes of complex automation were designated:

  • increase in reliability of operational accounting of the movement and release of Inventories in warehouses, production sites, in way;
  • decrease in labor input of data entry in a system by replacement of manual entry of data on automatic using technologies of barcoding, everywhere, where it is technology possible and economically justified;
  • receiving quickly created in a common information space of the consolidated financial management reporting on factory group, retail chain stores and holding in general;
  • receiving the tool for operational resource planning taking into account the actual remaining balance of current assets.

At the same time specialists of the company implementer had to consider important production requirements to a system. The centralized support of the system brought into commercial operation should be performed by forces of one specialist of IT department of the enterprise. A system should guarantee single data entry irrespective of the legal entity, a business unit or a transaction type. Formation of documents of financial accounting for all legal entities and business units should be automatic on the basis of documents of order accounting. Updates of a configuration should happen easily and not require additional resources.

Based on a preproject research of standard solutions on the 1C:Enterprise 8 platform specialists of Nova Roll LLC selected the software product "Institute of Model Solutions: Process production 8" developments of Institute of Model Solutions company. The choice of the partner in implementation and the software product was carried out according to the results of consideration of real examples of functioning of a system at other enterprises of the similar industries (with departure on these enterprises).

For the purpose of accomplishment of the requirements designated above, specialists of Institute of Model Solutions separated functions of accounting in a system into two logic levels: the operational level of accounting of Inventories and resource planning and also financial level of the regulated reporting. Such approach allowed to provide automatic formation of finance documents, to guarantee uniform data entry in a system and also simplified updating of a configuration.

Significant changes concerned also an input technique in the system of data on production and semi-finished products. If earlier data were entered exclusively manually by shift supervisors two times a day, in a new system a part of operations on data entry is completely automated due to use of technology of barcoding, and the remained data are entered by operators on places using special interfaces. As a result shipment documents and movements and also production reports form completely automatically that led to considerable release of working time of chiefs of changes. In turn, it caused an increase in labor productivity.

Today the following subsystems are brought into commercial operation:

  • operational accounting of Inventories in three production companies;
  • management of inappropriate products and raw materials;
  • production scheduling: tracking in real time execution of operations, employment of the equipment and operators, running state of orders and volumes of these orders, control according to the plan.

Also operation of queues of financial accounting and planning on all enterprises "Nova Roll" started.

At the moment the management of holding noted work performance improvement, at the expense of a possibility of automatic data entry. There was an opportunity visually and timely to obtain information on stock remainders that allows to make more correct decisions on raw materials purchases. In holding time of movement of Inventories between workshops decreased that reduced a production cycle.
