2017: Telehouse Caravan joined REG.RU

The data center of Telehouse Caravan announced at the beginning of a year that it became a part of the Russian registrar of domain names and REG.RU hosting provider. The data center will continue work under the brand, having got additional technical capabilities and access to all range of services and the services rendered to REG.RU.

The REG.RU company developed as hosting provider since 2009. In a wide product line of REG.RU the most different types a hosting services — from a classical virtual hosting before lease of servers and services of Colocation are provided. Caravan is the telecommunication company with twenty-year history providing data services, telephone communication and Internet access. In 2008 it created the separate Telehouse Caravan direction — the hi-tech platform for placement of IT infrastructure with the high level of reliability and a class of client service.

2011

The Karavan telecommunication company, within development of a complex of data centers of Telehouse Caravan with a total area over 1000 sq.m, announced in September, 2011 start of new queue of three independent data centers (pressurized zones) of category of reliability of Tier 3+. In new data centers all key principles of modern DPC implemented in Telehouse Caravan are considered.

Telehouse Caravan represents a data processing center of new generation in which basis, unlike traditional data centers, the principle of modular and scalable framework is underlain. Thanks to this approach new resources are put into operation step by step, without affecting work of existing, explained in Karavan company.

"Demand for the Telehouse Caravan resources showed need of commissioning of new independent data centers — the technical director of the company Caravan Kanayev Dmitry told. — The first half of the year was for us active, in Telehouse construction was conducted: works were performed for all queue, without interruption of functioning of the operating IT systems at once. In August we began to install the equipment of clients in the first data center of new queue".

In new queue of data centers also the second key principle to which there should correspond the modern DPC — Carrier Neutral, i.e. a possibility of the choice of the telecom operator is observed.

The third implemented principle — a possibility of creation for clients in one data center of individual refrigerating conditions and power supply. The increased level of power supply of the equipment can be up to 30 kW on a rack.

Besides, for the clients renting the selected data center, also as well as earlier, following features are provided: level of availability of services from Tier II to Tier IV, a possibility of creation of refrigerating conditions, other than the general temperature.

According to Karavan company, the approach used in creation of engineering infrastructure by Telehouse Caravan allows to create a hi-tech environment which gives to clients the chance to implement not only the current non-standard projects, but also easily adapts under future expansion of business.

The Karavan telecommunication company announced in November, 2011 that it within the strategy of development for the outsourcing platform for placement of the IT equipment started new queue of three independent data centers on the platform Telehouse Caravan. It is reported that the total area of a complex of data centers of Telehouse Caravan is more than 1000 sq.m, the category of reliability of all data centers of the company — Tier 3+, and the level of power supply of the equipment can be to 30 kW on a rack. Data centers are located in the Telehouse Caravan complex at the address: Moscow, Mira Avenue, 222.

In a basis of the Telehouse Caravan complex the principle of modular and scalable framework of DPCs is underlain. As the Karavan company states, this approach provides step-by-step commissioning of new resources without influence on work of operating. As key services of Telehouse Caravan are called: for standard projects — Colocation Unlimited; for individual solutions — lease of units, lease of racks, the selected DPC.

The electric power brought from two independent substations for power supply of DPC is 2 MW. Now it consumes a half. Industrial power generating systems of an object (automatic machines of input of a reserve and the main distribution frame) are constructed using Schneider Electric component parts.

Engineering infrastructure of Telehouse Caravan is created on the basis of the complete solution APC InfraStruxure. Racks, power distribution blocks, the monitoring system of power supply of StruxureWare and a subsystem of conditioning constructed by the principle of containerization of a hot air using intra line APC InRow conditioners with a power up to 60 kW everyone are its part.

APC InfraStruxure allows to set the high-loaded server racks in any point of DPC, optimum spending resources for a power supply and cooling. The complex of conditioning works by the principle of an intake of air from a 'hot' corridor (the patent of ARS by Schneider Electric). A circuit of water cooling two monoblock 750 kW chillers service everyone. In cold season cooling of a water circuit is provided by the system of freecooling.

In 2008 average load of a rack of Telehouse Caravan was 7 kW, today it makes 11 kW. The DPC is designed so that allows to manage supply of electricity and cooling up to 30 kW on a rack without additional costs, and modularity of creation gives the chance not to make investments in its empty engineering spaces.

• The offer of Colocation Basis is intended for the equipment with low and standard loading on a power supply (electric power up to 350 W on 1 unit is not paid). The Ethernet port of 100 Mbps, traffic unlimited is provided at observance of a ratio of the entering and outbound traffic 1:4.
• Colocation Unlimited gives unlimited opportunities for placement of the equipment and Internet access. Data protection is also included in the price (Firewall, 100 rules of traffic filtering).
• Colocation Unlimited + includes all advantages of Colocation Unlimited and offers absolutely new opportunities for complex monitoring of the equipment (200 parameters of monitoring, a possibility of setup of own rules, obtaining notifications by the SMS or on e-mail during the incorrect operation of the equipment, obtaining reports on e-mail).

2008: Start in operation of Telehouse Caravan

The complex of data centers of Telehouse Caravan is put into operation. It became one of the first Russian DPCs of category of reliability Tier III.
