MegaFon will construct departmental VPN network for Federal Treasury of the Russian Federation

The federal network of department will be organized by Sinterra — OJSC MegaFon subsidiary company within implementation of the public contract on execution of works and communication services provision on data transmission on the departmental transport network of Federal Treasury from November, 2011 to December, 2013. The multiservice full-meshed VPN network will connect central office of Federal Treasury and more than 2 thousand objects of department in regions.

For connection of the majority of objects own network of universal operator "MegaFon" which covers all regions of the country and has total length more than 110 thousand km is used.

Rostelecom and Rtkomm.Py also participated in tender on the conclusion of the government contract. Synterra gained the greatest number of points (61.28) by criteria of cost and qualification. So in particular, the price offered by Sinterra for accomplishment of a full range of works on the government contract was 1 billion 149 million 999 thousand 680 rub against the starting price of 1 billion 810 million rubles.
