Already former CEO Leo Apotheker, leaving Hewlett-Packard company, will receive a severance pay in the amount of $7.2 million and also $2.4 million in the form of bonuses and stocks of the company. Mass media with reference to the documents filed to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission on Thursday report about it.

Apoteker was discharged of the highest position in HP recently, having worked in it only 11 months. It was replaced by the former chief executive of eBay Meg Whitman. According to regulating documents, she will have a basic salary of $1 in size a year.

Apoteker's career in HP was not set. During the stay at a position of the CEO, he passed several decisions which sparked criticism including on selection of division of personal computers of HP company in separate business. A hard error was the fact that the statement for cessation of production of the PC appeared before there was a buyer. For the last three quarters, financial performance of the company decreased, and share value fell almost half for that time that Apoteker was a CEO.

In addition to a severance pay and bonus payments, to it grants for the accelerated obtaining stocks are selected for the amount of $3.5 million. It has a right lifting for moving to France or Belgium, and to $300 thousand in a covering of any expenses which he will undertake at sale of the house in California.

But also it is not all. Apoteker also received a subscription bonus in $4 million and in addition $4.6 million for a covering of relocation expenses and other payments.

A year ago, when he signed the contract for work, he agreed to a basic salary in $1.2 million and an annual bonus at the rate from 200% up to 500% of the amount of the salary. It also received hundreds of thousands of shares within different programs of the company.

Also on Thursday HP published a compensation packet Whitman. As well as some other prominent heads, she will receive a base annual salary in the amount of $1. And in addition, the purchase option more than 1.9 million stocks of HP, many of which will take over, only if their cost considerably increases. Whitman in 2012 will make a bonus from $2.4 million to $6 million.

It should be noted that paid the leaving CEOs more earlier. When Apoteker came to work, HP just agreed to pay the previous CEO Mark Hurd more than $12 million. It was forced to leave under pressure of the charges of sexual harassments brought by the former consultant of the company for marketing. However, the amount of its compensation was about a half of that it was received by Carly Fiorina, other CEO of HP who received more than $21 million when it by force left the company in 2005.

Similar, but less large-scale payments to the dismissed top managers are known also in Russia. According to specialists of the hr-companies, in most cases such "golden parachute" for the boss is equal to the amount of its salary for half a year-year.

In our country in 2003 contract cancelation with the CEO of NTV Boris Yordan loudly sounded. Then, according to unofficial data, paid it about $10 million.

And in 2008 16 upper managers of OGK-2 at early contract cancelation received $23.5 million. Compensation was calculated from the term of 24-36 months.
