Complex of planetary scanning Elar Planskan A2-Ts3R in National library of the Republic of Chuvashia

Within the IV Forum of young librarians of Russia there took place the grand opening of the new body of National library of the Republic of Chuvashia. In the reconstructed building the Chuvash regional center of access to information resources of Presidential library of B.N. Yeltsin equipped taking into account the latest developments in the field of information technologies is created.

In the presence of the Head of the Republic of Chuvashia Mikhail Ignatyev opening of the regional center took place and there took place the presentation of the equipment of "ELAR" - "A complex of planetary scanning Elar Planskan of A2-Ts3R". Now the staff of National library of Chuvashia can independently digitize books, rare editions, documents and posters and also to fill up electronic content of Presidential library of B.N. Yeltsin. At the same time the contactless method of scanning completely excludes mechanical impact on books, guaranteeing safety even of the most old editions and archive documents.

Thanks to the innovative technologies of "ELAR" the problem of preserving of cultural heritage and providing access of a wide range of users to historical values of the Republic of Chuvashia is solved.

Similar scanners are already installed in many libraries of Russia and also in the centers of Presidential library of B.N. Yeltsin in a number of regions of the country.
