OceanBank (SmartVista)

BPC Bank Technologies, a provider of payment solutions for the global financial industry, announces the successful completion of the SmartVista family of products in OceanBank, Vietnam. BPC Bank Technologies were chosen due to the extensive experience of working with the largest banks in Vietnam.

The disparate processing systems that existed earlier at OceanBank significantly limited the ability to quickly bring new products to market and effectively integrate with local service providers. In addition, the previous infrastructure did not allow the Bank to connect the processing center directly to international payment systems, implement the EMV standard and pass certification for compliance with PCI-DSS security requirements.

With SmartVista's multifunctional, flexible, and scalable solution, OceanBank has the ability to significantly accelerate the introduction of new products to the market, expand the range of services for its consumers, and at the same time significantly reduce transaction costs. The new payment processing platform based on the SmartVista family of products allows the Bank to fully control its own payment business, release new card products, and offer additional services, for example, remote deposit opening (eSavings) and interbank transfers.

By 2014, the Bank plans to issue more than 1 million cards, and over the next 5 years, increase the number of ATMs to 400 and expand the network of POS terminals to 1.5 thousand units.
