The 1C: Accounting and Trade company (BIT) completed an implementation project of the 1C: Integrated Automation 8 software product in Rosprodukt LLC. One of key tasks of the company - optimization of purchases of perishable products is solved. As a result it was succeeded to organize schedule system of supply of dairy products on the basis of data on sales for a previous period. It allowed to reduce by 1.5 times losses from damage of products.

Rosprodukt LLC is one of the largest suppliers in the Russian market of the wholesale supplies of food. Permanent partners of the organization are more than 350 private and state enterprises across all Russia, including the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Moscow region, Sanatorium of Employees of Bodies of Prosecutor's office of the Russian Federation ISTRA, Clinical Hospital No. 1 Federal State Institution of the Presidential Property Management Department of the Russian Federation.

Priority type of activity of the company - trade in dairy products which are delivered in such organizations as hospitals, kindergartens, military units, etc. In total about 100 batches a day therefore exact purchase planning – one of the main objectives of management are shipped.

Due to business development there was a need for a new information system with a broad spectrum of functionality. In particular, the schedule system allowing to keep account of orders on perishable products taking into account statistical data on sales amounts and seasonality was required. Before such account was kept in spreadsheets. To provide a certain trade inventory, managers ordered to suppliers on average 10% more goods, than it was required according to current orders. From these additional 10% only 6%, and 4% were implemented, as a rule, (about 1000 kg of dairy products a day) remained that carried out to overstocking of a warehouse. Because of manual accounting of a remaining balance of goods, there were situations when the unrealized batch stood in a warehouse. Through some time unused products were written off because of the expired expiration date which on some positions (yogurts, baby food) could make only 3-5 days, and the enterprise incurred losses.

The accounting of interchangeable goods was also carried out using spreadsheets and if the required name was not in a warehouse (for example, Cheerful Milk Seller cottage cheese of 9%), the manager could not offer quickly the client a product, similar in properties (for example, On Health cottage cheese, 9%). As a result of the transaction often broke. Therefore the tool which would allow to find analogs of goods was necessary and already during telephone conversation to offer the client alternative options.

The 1C: Accounting and Trade company (BIT) which recommended to use the solution "1C: Integrated Automation 8" allowing to organize accounting and planning according to needs of the customer became the partner in the project.

In a project deliverable it was succeeded to organize schedule system of purchases taking into account statistical data on sales and seasonality. The possibilities of volume scheduling implemented in a system allowed managers to estimate objectively the need for goods, to check whether it is possible to satisfy the made plan at the expense of a remaining balance. If there are not enough products in a warehouse, the necessary goods quantity is added to already existing supplier orders, or new orders are made out. As a result, the goods turnover accelerated, and financial losses were reduced because of damage of goods by 1.5 times.

Solution integration with a corporate system of the prime vendor of the company (Wimm-Bill-Dann) allowed to provide weekly to it exact data on the course of product sales that strengthened partnership between the enterprises.

Using implemented in the program managers can already offer opportunities of selection of an analog of goods during telephone conversation to the client interchangeable products in case of lack of goods in a warehouse: if in order processing time the program registers lack of any names, then the product, similar in characteristics, is automatically offered. Thus, managers save clients, and sales volumes increased by 12%.

Galina Lukina, chief accountant of Rosprodukt LLC: "The efficiency of our business after implementation considerably increased. Thanks to program capabilities we, in the absence of a remaining balance of a certain description of goods in a warehouse, can offer alternative option. Customers are satisfied with service that the number of regular customers helps us to increase. Thanks to effective purchase planning we provided a high goods turnover and could lower costs because of damage of products. 1C: Integrated Automation 8 is that information system which was necessary to our enterprise for more effective and productive work".
