Creation of storage in Nomos-bank is complete

The R-Style Softlab company announces the beginning of the project of creation of the corporate data warehouse, unprecedented on the scale, on the basis of RS-DataHouse information and analytical system in NOMOS-bank which by the amount of assets is among fifteen largest Russian credit institutions. The data warehouse in bank is created for the solution of the following tasks:

  • increase in effective management of retail, corporate and investment business;
  • creation of different types of the reporting: for the Central Bank, managerial, analytical and according to IFRS;
  • providing different applications with reliable information – from the front office to systems preparing the reporting.

During the tender the management of NOMOS-bank from 15 applicants selected software products of three vendors: R-Style Softlab, DIS and SAS whose developments in total most fully conformed to the imposed requirements. A number of works on integration is performed by specialists of GlowByte Consulting, and a general contractor of the project is R-Style Softlab.

In only five months in NOMOS-bank loading process in storage of information about clients and accounting data (accounts, postings) from four different core banking systems is complete. As a result since July of this year reliable information is unloaded from storage and used by the front office application "Credit Pipeline".

Implementing solution of SAS company, intended for management of marketing campaigns, customer segmentation, process automation of sales and so forth is in parallel conducted. Data for this system will also arrive from the storage created on the basis of RS-DataHouse information and analytical system. By March, 2012 creation of the data warehouse regarding transactions of the retail block – operations on credit and deposit products, plastic cards will be complete. It will allow to create information space for support of processes of management of retail risks and work of the front office application.

During the subsequent stages of implementation data from child structures of NOMOS-bank will be loaded into storage. As a result the customer will receive the uniform data warehouse which will reduce labor costs on support of procedures of loading/unloading of information, will provide lack of duplication of requests, will increase the speed of consolidation and data analysis of Group, will increase quality of training of the reporting.

Project Results

On December 23, 2013 the R-Style Softlab company announced project completion of implementation and start of corporate storage on the basis of RS-DataHouse information and analytical system.

Execution of the project solved assigned tasks are solved, including:

  • operational risks in settlement process of the PIT on broker transactions, thanks to transfer of process to full automation are reduced;
  • the analysis of summary information and payment of financial performance under transactions with the help of the developed show-windows of credit and deposit history is made;
  • well operational management of reliable information — for the realization account of unloading in a management system of returns of a debt.

The storage became the supplier of up-to-date data for other systems of bank.

With implementation of RS-DataHouse bank storage had an opportunity to effectively process impressive data array:

  • information on 1.5 million to physical persons and legal entities;
  • about 22 million customer accounts (from them 14 million open);
  • up to 140 thousand daily accounting transactions.

Implementation of the data warehouse is made in several stages. During the first data loading about accounting is implemented and clients, information on transactions of retail business, on a closing stage - about transactions of corporate clients was loaded further.

This considerable achievement, on a regular basis is loaded financial information, reference books, data on the credits, deposits, the security transactions, data according to documentary transactions, interbank lending and depositaries, settlement and cash services, interportfolio transfers into storage and also information on organizational and regular structure, customer relations (CRM) and many other things".
