PETER-SERVICE PCCM - Software of quality control of service, tariffing and management of services for groups and certain subscribers of mobile broadband access in real time.
PCCM is applied at the operators providing services of broadband Internet access and represents the platform of quality management of service and tariffing in real time.
Features
- PCCM provides subscriber access to data services, provides logical management of sessions of subscribers and supports tariffing in real time;
- Allows telecom operators to create and to flexibly configure rules of quality management of service and tariffing (PCC rule);
- Helps to enter scenarios of tariffing, time-dependent or places of rendering service, for the purpose of load control on network, for example:
- the raised rates in hours of the highest loading;
- installation of daily/monthly quotas of consumption on certain services, with decrease in bandwidth after exhaustion of a quota;
- blocking of certain services in ChNN and/or a certain geographical zone;
- "welcome page" are notifications of the subscriber about stay in roaming (and only for set like devices), about a possibility of the order of "turboknopki" for transmission broad banding, etc.
- Helps to implement services, for example, "parental control" or "Kindle";
- PCCM supports all necessary interfaces for interaction with communication network nodes, constructed according to standards 3GPP, having a modern open architecture and standardized by API, in particular:
- uses functionality of elements 3GPP of network for a possibility of monitoring of use of service (functionality of Usage Monitoring Control), installations of triggers on events (Event-Triggering) and time of activation of service (Time of Day);
- sets rules of traffic management of certain applications (functionality of Application Detection and Control and Traffic Detection Function);
- processes notifications about exceeding of limits of the consumed traffic (functionality of Subscriber Spending Limits);
- allows integration with OCS/OFCS made both by Petter Service company, and third-party vendors.
Advantages
- Increase in revenue on additional services at the expense of the offer of improvement of QoS for the mezzanine board, providing the customized services taking into account specific features of the subscriber
- Service quality improvement:
- tariffing of prepaid clients in real time, and automatic notification of credit subscribers about achievement of thresholds of consumption of service;
- personalisation of services with the differential tariffs;
- a continuous service – use of setup parameters and change in profiles of subscribers happens without service interruption;
- Low capital costs:
- implementation of PCCM does not require replacement existing billing or CRM systems satisfying to standards 3GPP;
- a system has an opportunity to interact with elements of network of different producers;
- PCCM uses inexpensive servers of x86 architecture running Red Hat Enterprise Linux OS;
a system supports the horizontal scaling implemented by simple adding of new servers in a configuration;
- Convenience in operation:
- fault tolerance – a possibility of installation of several PCCM servers for reservation of data. In the course of operation of the PCCM server exchange data among themselves, thus, in case of refusal one server reserve will continue service of subscribers;
- an opportunity for work with reserve functional assemblies of 3GPP of network in case of refusal the main;
- a possibility of flexible management by equipment capacity due to application of the balancer of DIAMETER;
- an ability to manage and obtaining statistical information from PCCM on the standard SNMP and Telnet protocols.
