The corporate knowledge base for Sabmiller of RUS based on Microsoft SharePoint 2010

The TopS BI company entering into Sistematika Group completed the project on implementation of a system of electronic archive based on the Microsoft SharePoint 2010 platform in Sabmiller Rus company.

Sabmiller RUS LLC is division of one of the largest international breweries SABMiller plc selling the products more than in sixty countries. In Russia Sabmiller of RUS locates the plants in Kaluga, Vladivostok and Ulyanovsk. The number of staff of the company exceeds 2000 people. Total investment in the Russian economy was more than 700 million dollars.

Relevant problems of business development and large volumes of unstructured corporate content raised in the company on the agenda a question of systematization in a convenient type of accumulated information, sale of mechanisms of management and accounting of electronic documents. Top management Sabmiller of RUS made the decision to implement the system of electronic document storage in the form of universal Knowledge base.

Having carried out the careful analysis of functional requirements of Sabmiller RUS company, experts of TopS BI in the shortest possible time developed technical specifications and prototype designs for key pages of a System of electronic document storage. Further the structure of the Knowledge base was successfully configured and the main standard services provided by the Microsoft SharePoint 2010 platform are implemented. Also during the project algorithms of automatic placement of the loaded materials on the basis of flexible rules of classification are developed.

The system of electronic document storage is created based on the Microsoft SharePoint 2010 platform. The solution includes: library of documents, qualifier and system of tags, news feeds, calendar of events and actions, polls of users, pages of divisions and projects, personal pages of users, search module. For implementation of the most convenient search capabilities of information the electronic archive was integrated with external data warehouses (file servers and shared folders of Microsoft Exchange). Migration of large volume of materials from the existing corporate data warehouses is also performed.

For convenience of work with the system of foreign managers of Sabmiller RUS company the possibility of display of the interface in English, using the special switch is provided.
