Microsoft Lync in the Stalepromyshlenny company

The Softline company announced project completion on system deployment of the joint communications of Microsoft Lync for Stalepromyshlennaya kompaniya Ltd.

For the purpose of increase in employee performance there was a need for project implementation on implementation of multifunction communications. As the software product for implementation of this task specialists of Softline company recommended the system of the joint communications based on Microsoft Lync Server 2010.

Microsoft Lync 2010 is an upgraded version of Microsoft Office Communications Server. The solution integrates all modern communication options – instant messaging, are ringing and also audio-and video conferences. Microsoft Lync 2010 supports integration with the existing telecommunication infrastructure of the enterprise, considerably expanding its functionality, and sometimes – completely replacing it without additional financial injections.

Main objectives of the project was increase in frequency and efficiency of joint work of staff of different divisions, cutting of costs for their interaction, creation of a universal system of the joint communications and also failure from the existing system of video conferences based on Skype application.

Within the project Lync Server 2010 in edition Standard which provides functioning of all necessary services was unrolled: instant messaging, audio and video conferences, boards of discussions and carrying out votes and also web conferences. For a possibility of commission of outgoing calls from the Lync system the solution was integrated with a telephone network of the organization. Thus, users had an opportunity to make telephone calls from the client of Lync both on internal phone numbers of the company, and on numbers of external subscribers.

Project implementation on implementation of infrastructure of the joint communications allowed to show advantages of use of the environment of the joint communications, to reduce communication expenses between divisions and also to increase efficiency and quality of communications between employees.

Makushev Vadim, the director of the department of IT of Stalepromyshlennaya kompaniya Ltd, notes: "The implemented system based on Lync completely met our requirements to carrying out teleconferences, working meetings with remote divisions, internal communication. At the same time costs for implementation were much lower in comparison with alternative solutions which we considered and tested. The project is implemented in a short time with intensive support of staff of Softline".
