VKB RSC Energia switched to electronic archive

The ASCON-Samara company announced project completion on creation of electronic archive in the Volga design office of "Energy rocket and space corporation" (VKB RSC Energia).

The management of the enterprise made the decision on creation of electronic archive for the purpose of optimization of work of the divisions with data bulks and also to eliminate the costs connected with wear of paper documents. For the solution of assigned tasks the decision on implementation of the software solution developed by ASCON-Samara company was made.

As reported, scanning of documents is the cornerstone of creation of electronic archive. But as a considerable part of documents of CB is stored more than 30 years and they owing to this fact contain different defects, ASCON-Samara was applied by specialists the special technique of scanning including not only preserving of documents in electronic form, but also the automated removal of graphic garbage, empty fields, distortions of the image and other defects.

As reported, a system provides not only long document storage with protection against unauthorized access, but also allows to recover the lost documents (for example, in connection with a human factor) due to database backup. Besides, all actions of the employees having the right to work with information in archive automatically register in the magazine of actions that allows to trace lifecycle of the document.

It is reported that system implementation allowed CB to save reliably the major design developments executed within several decades and provided quick search of necessary documentation in archive. It is supposed that over time the implemented solution will allow to exempt the archive premises from paper documentation.
