2017: Creation of the IC "Accounting of Sealing Devices"

The Neolant company in January, 2018 announced project completion on development of an information system for accounting of sealing devices in a system of accounting and control of radioactive materials and waste of the Leningrad NPP.

Prerequisites

Earlier the accounting was carried out using only paper magazines which were manually kept by the staff of different divisions of the NPP. This approach could lead to errors, losses of information and took away a lot of time.

Project Tasks

Project objective — to optimize workflows of the employees responsible for use of sealing devices on the Leningrad NPP, namely:

  • reduce time for filling of reporting documentation;
  • reduce quantity of potential errors;
  • provide employees of sealing devices, responsible for application, with operational and authentic data on existence, a status and installation sites of sealing devices.

Project Progress

Within the project specialists Neolant developed functionality of an information system of accounting of sealing devices, carried out integration of the developed system into the software which is available on the NPP for accounting of radioactive materials and waste.

IC "Accounting of PU"

Purpose of the created system — automation and information support of processes of accounting of the sealing devices (SD), formations of accompanying documents and carrying out the following transactions over them:

  • registration of PU;
  • incoming inspection of PU;
  • inventory of PU;
  • formation of requests for acquisition of PU;
  • formation of registers of PU;
  • accounting of anomalies of application of PU;
  • issue of PU responsible for application;
  • the PU installation on subjects to sealing;
  • transfer of PU between divisions and in third parties;
  • removal of PU from subjects to sealing;
  • storage of PU before destruction;
  • destruction of PU.

The created system has modular structure. System modules can change and be complemented depending on needs of the customer.

  • The module "Receipt of Sealing Devices" is intended for primary registration, carrying out incoming inspection (integrity and absence of damage) of a batch, carrying out inventory (control regarding compliance of a physical entity to the records made in accounting documents) sealing devices and also allows to create requests for their acquisition.
  • The module "Issue in Division" is provided for accounting of process of transfer of sealing devices to the divisions responsible for their application.
  • The module "Installation/removal of Sealing Devices" is intended for performing transactions of installation/removal of sealing devices on subject to sealing and for formation in electronic form of "The magazine of Installation/removal of sealing devices".
  • The module "Destruction of Sealing Devices" is provided for performing transactions on destruction of sealing devices (reductions of construction of PU in the status excluding a possibility of its repeated application) with formation of the relevant act.
  • The module "Anomalies of Use of Sealing Devices" allows to select the sealing devices having signs of violation of application in separate category, with the subsequent determination of a cause of infringement and fixing of the procedure of an output from the address, up to utilization.
  • The module "Reference books" allows to perform input and editing handbook data and also to edit document templates.
  • The module "Administration" allows the user having access rights to make the following actions: work with reference books (adding and editing records of reference books), application tuning (connection to a DB, change of the color scheme and so forth).

Project Results

The information system "Accounting of Sealing Devices" allowed to optimize workflows of staff of PU, responsible for application, on the Leningrad NPP. Thanks to the IC there was an opportunity to store all data in one place and to automatically create electronic versions of registers of sealing devices.

So, on a response of the customer:

  • there was an opportunity to automatically create electronic versions of registers of sealing devices.
  • Time for filling of reporting documentation was significantly reduced;
  • The IC helped to reduce quantity of errors when filling of the sealing devices given on accounting;
  • The IC gave the chance to quickly obtain information on location and a status of sealing devices.

2007: Creation of a DB on decommissioning of blocks of the NPP

Tasks

Project objective was creation of the Information system "Database on Decommissioning of Blocks of the NPP" (IC BDVE).

The decision on the beginning of works on creation of the database of decommissioning of power units of the NPP was made in 2002. As the direct project orderer the Leningrad NPP — branch of Rosenergoatom Concern acted.

The Leningrad Nuclear Power Plant (Leningrad NPP) is located in 80 km to the west of St. Petersburg on the southern coast of the Gulf of Finland of the Baltic Sea. The total area occupied by the Leningrad NPP, 454 hectares.

Project Progress

Creation of the IC BDVE of the first stage of the Leningrad NPP was begun in 2003.

The IC BDVE the part of integrated storage not only the current information on stages of an output of power units from operation, but also all design, operational and reference documentation of the Leningrad NPP is assigned (documentation according to which power units were projected, constructed, operated and were under repair — up to the moment of a final stop).

Were a part of the IC BDVE of the first stage of the Leningrad NPP:

  • subsystem of a program core (input, storage and information display about freeform objects of data domain; multidimensional classifications and object search; reports generation);
  • subsystem of electronic archive (input, storage and search of electronic copies of paper documents);
  • information visualization subsystem (ensuring communication between objects of data domain and project 3D models; visual representation of data).

The IC BDVE Leningrad NPP is focused on open standards. For the description of program structure The IC BDVE used the UML language, storage and data exchange is provided using the SQL languages, communication between functional subsystems is organized by means of the TCP/IP and HTTP protocols.

The IC BDVE electronic archive is implemented based on software of Bentley ProjectWise integrated with a CAD based on Bentley Micro S tation, and software modules of NEOLANT company for Bentley ProjectWise.

These modules provide:

  • expansion of standard opportunities of ProjectWise for management of design data;
  • information access about objects of the NPP (buildings, the equipment, systems and so forth) through 2D - and 3D models.

For development of three-dimensional models were selected by a CAD based on Bentley MicroStation, for viewing models — the 3D system - visualization of Autodesk (NavisWorks) of JetStream. As DBMS the Microsoft SQL Server is used.

The information access of electronic archive and also information visualization are performed using project 3D models of objects of the NPP. In the project progress specialists of NEOLANT company created 3D models of the main building and platforms of the first and second stage of the Leningrad NPP. Extent of detailing of models is rather high. So, in the course of creation of three-dimensional model of the main building more than 10 thousand drawings — an architectural and construction part of the building, the equipment, pipelines and other components of the machine hall, reactors, the auxiliary body, etc. were processed.

Project Results

With implementation of the IC BDVE of the first stage of the Leningrad NPP the station received in the order not only an information system for maintenance of process of decommissioning of power units, but also excellent tools for the solution of a number of other tasks. It is reasonable to IC BDVE to use at personnel training of the station; besides, on the basis of a system software packages of calculation of change in time of a radiation status of structural elements of reactor installations, modeling of transactions of dismantling of the equipment of power units, planning of dose loads of specialists when holding dismantling actions can be implemented, cost determinations on an output of blocks from operation, process control of burial of radioactive waste.

On the basis of the IC BDVE of the first stage the IC BDVE of the second queue of the Leningrad NPP was created.

Thus on the Leningrad NPP, the first of the Russian nuclear power plants, the uniform IC BDVE of power units 1-4 on the basis of technologies of three-dimensional visualization of objects, a management system for technical document flow and Bentley ProjectWise archive, a CAD is created based on Bentley MicroStation.
