The first sale of "cloud" service Microsoft Office 365 in the territory of the Russian Federation

Softline announced a successful completion of the first transaction in the territory of the Russian Federation selling a cloud service of Microsoft Office 365 for Information and Technical Company (ITC) LLC. Transition to "cloud" was performed within a special offer from Microsoft for corporate customers with the signed corporate agreement (Enterprise Agreement) which gives the chance to migrate with On Premise of licenses for Office 365 without additional costs within the first year of use of service.

With Information and Technical Company LLC it was selected from construction holding for the purpose of project implementation on integration, implementation of IT projects. The company consists of two divisions – on information systems administration, engaged in implementation and administration of projects on IT infrastructure, and the division of software developers implementing projects on integration and development for SharePoint, Azure, etc. Business groups in which ITK company implements IT projects cover the main phases connected with construction of modern residential residential districts – from investment and management of construction projects before service of the built residential districts and providing educational services.

For the purpose of reducing costs for purchase and installation of the expensive equipment the management of IT department of Information and Technical Company LLC made the decision on transition to "cloud". The pacing factors promoting it became: high scalability, access for users from any place in the world, from any device, including mobile phones, "thin" clients and tablets, compatibility with other programs and operating systems, security and reliability of the corporate level and also the convenient administration console helping to manage functions, settings and deployment within all organization. In the existing conditions, taking into account the available IT projects and implementations as the most optimal was selected a way of migration on Microsoft Office 365. After careful selection of applicants for a role of the partner the choice stopped on Softline company.

During the project integration of local IT infrastructure of ITK with "cloud" of Microsoft was carried out, in particular synchronization of the Active Directory and transfer of an account then all users automatically got access to "cloud" mail was made. Besides, in "cloud" such service as SharePoint was taken out.

The service Office 365 unites cloud versions of popular software products of Microsoft for e-mail, communication and joint work (such as Exchange, SharePoint and Lync) with well familiar packet of office applications of Office Professional Plus that gives to employees the chance to work with documents, e-mail and the calendar practically from any device. Office Professional Plus includes the Office web applications which supplement Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OneNote, allowing to browse and edit documents, using the web browser. Besides, the service works at a basis of a reliable security system with guaranteed performance of non-failure operation of 99.9%.
